ovulation predictor kits - LH surge + breastfeeding

Does anyone out there know whether breastfeeding (2x per day) would affect the LH surge reading on a home ovulation predictor kit (Clearblue digital)? It doesn't seem to say anywhere in the notes or even on their website.... I tried this kit in an attempt to maximise my chances of having a girl (!) because of the theory that you have to have sex before ovulation and then stop in order to let all the fast swimming shortlived male sperm die off leaving all the slow and steady and long living female ones to do their stuff!!!! But my LH surge seems to be lasting longer than it's supposed to (3 days already) and I wonder whether the fact that I'm still breastfeeding would either give a false positive on the test, or whether it might make the LH surge last longer before ovulation.....

sorry this is all very long and rambly - did anyone manage to keep reading who knows anything more about this?

Thank you!!!

TBH I would not bother using opk's as these can be misleading anyway for the following reasons:-

These kits assume that women have one rise in LH every month and that such a rise is immediately followed by ovulation. Both these statements are certainly not true.
