Evaporation lines?

POAS this morning and got BFN, but emptying the bin just now there was a pink line. Fainter than the control, but definitely there and definitely pink. It's been 8 hours, so it doesn't count a positive result, right?

I had a line that showed up after the test- she is 10 and just back from Brownies!

I saw it about an hour later though

No, this was the 2nd from a twin pack. There might have been a line after an hour, but I binned it after about 5 mins because it looked like a clear BFN! The other test, taken on mon night, is still showing neg. Maybe I can buy more tomorrow and test on Sunday.

I found this with my now little boy, and discarded it as it had come up negative, 5 days later i tested again and came up as a positive result in less than a minute, and as 3 weeks plus (got a digital one the second time to be sure) Definetely worth paying a little more for peace of mind. First thing in the morning is the best and most accurate time to do it.

I would suggest collecting your first morning urine in a suitable clean pot so that you don't have to wait an extra day to test. It also comes in useful if you want to double check the result.

I too got mine out of the bin to check again an hour or so later, he's 3 now . Mine definately had no line at all after the allotted time (I held it up all different angles in the light).

Happened to me as well, took the test at night and looked like a bfn went to bin it the next day and it was bfp.

I would secretly be getting my hopes up

I could possibly find an excuse to go out to 24 hour Tesco now and test first thing tomorrow. Would I be better to give it an extra day for a clearer result though?

Yes it did, I did my next test with morning urine and it came up right away.

Good luck tomorrow morning! I'd be getting my hopes up too - evap lines are not usually pink!

I spent all of Tuesday night staring at an "evap line" and all Wednesday morning at a second one... I used a cb digi Wednesday lunchtime and got a clear BFP. If you're going to buy more tomorrow,maybe opt for a digi? Words are easier than lines!! Good luck and please update us!!

missP waiting tomorrow to use your fmu might be better, not necessarily for getting a clearer line see previous post re wise words about digis

Damn newton I'm just back from shop with non-digi test. Will try first thing tomorrow and maybe next day with digi test if no BFP tomorrow Congrats on your BFP too :)

Sorry mate, a poorly times post! I've got one here,along with five million cheap ones that don't seem to show anything more than a feint line Fx for your BFP!

If there is colour in the line then it isnt an evap.

i had a v light pink line show up on a cheapo pg test when i was pg with ds...........fingers crossed for you

I couldn't sleep so tested at about 3am. Faint pink line after a few mins this time :)
