Howdie again everyone!! I have too many questions to ask!! How long after you concieve does it take for the embryo to attach to the uterus? When it does do you have cramping like period ones?? Thanks!!

I believe that the implantation of the fertilised embryo happens about a week after ovulation ... I read that it takes about 7 days for the egg to travel to the uterus ... if it is fertilised it will implant ... if it isn't it won't ...
I had cramping a few days before my period was due with DS (we were not trying so I thought my period was coming early) ... and it lasted for weeks ... I had period pains until about 9 week pg ...
No cramping in this pregnancy at all ...
Some people say they can feel the implantation ... this is my third pregnancy and I wouldn't know what that feels like ...

Implantation that is ... not pregnancy
HTH melliek ...
Are you ttc?
Try not to get too hung up on implantation and all that ... you could drive yourself potty ... but then I don't know your circumstances ...

Agree with Ghosty, I suppose I've put this your head. I'm sorry. I just have learned so much since m/c and obsess about things occasionally. Imp is 7-10 days after, some feel it some don't, some have spotting some don't. Pls don't go there too far. You'll end up weird like me !!!

I thought implantation was about 5-6 days after conception, but Ghosty's probably right in thinking it's a bit longer. I think the implantation bleed they're talking about might not be the initial implantation, but the embryo settling in a bit further and burrowing in a bit more. Obviously, this doesn't always result in bleeding, but I believe it can.

It's about ten days. I certainly felt nothing - I would imagine the vast majority of people don't, as the embryo that attaches is so very tiny.

I use fertility friend and they say average is 7-10 days, 6 also possible and even 5 days. Jane you;re right, they say it can burrow a little further and can cause more bleeding.

I think I know when my embryo implanted because that's the day I turned very foul-tempered; I've been in a bad mood this whole pregnancy. I worked out my due date based on when the grumpiness started - 14 days. Will be intersting to see what the dating scan says.
