i don't know why i'm posting or what i'm hoping for but i've found such amazing support on mums net before. mmc in mid december, horrid time but trying to look forward. i thought i'd had period a couple of weeks ago but last scan this week showed period due so apparently need to wait for that before ttc so just a waiting game now. anyone else ttc for 2012 bundle of joy??

Awww, so sorry you are having a hard time. I'm probably not much help but after having 2 DCs I had 2 MMC before having another DD.

Everyone I have spoken to about MC has different experiences but many have MC their first pregancy.

Fingers crossed that 2012 is a year of baby dust for you Smile

I'm ttc - mmc back in May 11 at 17 weeks. Awful experience, worst thing I've ever been through. No joy as of yet, and we started trying again in August (every period just makes me upset). Just bought a clearblue fertility monitor to help, first month of trying that so really hoping for some baby dust! xx

thank you for the hope fortheloveof...!

best of luck kitesurfgirl, i know what you mean about being upset at period time, i always hit to the bottle which isn't the healthiest choice but numbs the fed up. hope the fertility monitor helps, let me know how it goes and if you'd recommend it. if i find some baby dust i'll throw a load your way! Smile

I'm in the same boat, 2 mmc in the last 7 months (only pregnancies). Waiting for 1st AF after ERPC at the begining of Jan. Are you getting any tests or anything? I know it's not likely the NHS will do anything but I'm going to have a chat with the GP at some point and see where we go from here. I've heard they will sometimes do tests after "just" 2 miscarriages and I'm also hoping I'll get more scans, I don't think it's unreasonable to not want to wait until 12 weeks for a scan (losses were at 9 and 11 weeks).

I'm trying to stay positive (and doing a fairly good job I think) but it's difficult not to feel hard done by, I thought mmc were supposed to be rare so to have 2 feels like very bad luck at best, at worst symptomatic of something more serious that is wrong.

hugahudday will defo let you know if monitor is worth it. I got mine off Amazon so a lot cheaper (don't go to Boots!) . It's certainly helping me feel as though I am doing something constructive tho!

sunshinesue sorry to hear about your mmcs. I have started to have some tests, more so because of my age (37) than anything else. I don't feel i have 'time' to have another few mc's just because that's what the NHS tell us to do before they investigate. Just kick up a bit of a fuss!

I'm definitely insisting on more scans. I actually know the reason why I mc'd (I have Factor V Leiden) - i was furious (and still am) that the stupid NHS were so lax with me and failed to get me treated sooner. (my first consultant appt was only booked for 4 months, it actually got penned in for the day after i found out the baby had died)

I still think mmc are rare. It's just hard when it's happened to you to not think that it's going to happen again.

Stay positive everyone and lots and lots of good luck and baby dust!xx

Hi sunshine girl, sorry to hear you're in this unhappy boat. I'm also thinking of asking GP for help, i don't mind paying for tests but my mum and dad have had a couple of health issues i worry might effect our chances, dad with blood clot issue and mum with auto immune issue and both mmcs i've been under the weather and will swollen gland, i hear sometimes your bosy just rejects certain pregnancies. I asked at epau about where they would recommend for a private scan as i'm not waiting for 12 weeks again, the mw said because i'd had two mmc i could go back there for a scan from 6-7 weeks, and the best bit was she said they would like to see me back there and i was very welcome, god bless that lovely lady, those words made all the difference.

some stats i heard. 20 in 100 people miscarry once, 10 in 100 people miscarry twice and 1 in 100 people miscarry 3 times. i feel more likley to miscarry as i have twice but the chances do go down, although i'm convinced i'll be the 1 in 100 suffering again but that's just paranoid!!
