Hello all Smile
My DS is 11weeks old and he is an absolute angel! We have never lost a nights sleep, he's always been a great feeder and he never cries until we get him out of the bath.... But I am incredibly broody!! I want him to have a sibling but I never thought that I would feel like this so early on in my LO's life! Me and DP both work full time (I am currently on ML) so I know it can't be done yet! But I just don't understand why I'm feeling like this! Had anyone ever felt the same?

Thank you in advance....

Yes, you are not alone! My DS is nearly 1 and I've been ttc for ages. I wanted two close together because I started late and don't have a lot of time left. But I was definitely broody early on. What I would say is that DS was also no trouble at all, and still isn't but I am a lot busier now he's crawling and he needs a lot of attention so juggling that with a new born.... Smile

On the other hand, lots of people get pregnant again very quickly and they all manage! Brood away Grin

Looks like you and sevenswansaswimming are in the same boat Grin

Thank you for replying! I'm glad I'm not alone! We are saving for a mortgage as we are renting at the mo and another LO is really out of the question! But I really can't wait until we try again Smile

I think it's quite common to want another one quite soon after having a baby. Word to the wise, just because DS sleeps well doesn't mean he always will! And also consider the intensity of having two under two, lots of bum changing! But if you want them close together, it's totally up to you and people manage it!

For the first few weeks I wanted another immediately. Must have been the hormones.

For the couple of months after that I though if I got pregnant I'd have to have a termination because I wouldn't manage. Must have been the hormones too.

Then I started to feel that it wouldn't be ideal but we'd cope.

From dd being about 10mo I've been broody.

My little one was a terrible sleeper and I still felt like this! He is 20 months now and the feeling has passed. I'm completely convinced it was hormones. I felt so broody that I actually had to go and look at him sometimes to remind myself that I had a baby and didn't need another one immediately! Sympathies though, its a weird feeling.

Probably better for you to give your body a bit more of a chance to recover though, its still very early days.

It's just your hormones talking - give yourself time to enjoy your first child for heaven's sake!!
