Unplanned pregnancy

Just found out I am pregnant after a 6 year gap. Not planned. DH adamant he doesn't want more.
I guess we have just not been as careful as we should have. Foolishly thought unlikely to conceive due to a number of issues so contraception has been a bit lax.
Really dreading telling dh. I know I want to keep it but concerned about his reaction.
Anyone been there?

I haven't, but my parents were (and it was an 8 year gap!) I was 10 and remember my mum crying a lot. But in the end, now none of us could imagine our family without the 'surprise' baby/sibling. Its as much DH's 'accident' as yours, I hope he reacts better than you anticipate and it works out well.

Thank you. I suppose in some ways I was my mum's accident! She was forever telling me how much joy I brought her.
