My DH and I have been TTC since June 2011 and that was when I cam off Microgynon. My cycles went a bit irregular but I started taking multivitamins. Since then we have had maybes but always been negative. Last time I ovulated we did the deed a few times. And the time before then I went to the nurse who said my breasts looked different. Since we did the deed, my breasts are still darker and have funny spots round which show up more when I'm cold. I have faint stretch marks on the tops of my thighs, I am more tired, have headaches, backaches and sometimes feel nauseous. I occasionally get cramping like period pain but it goes fast. Also I did menstruate 2 weeks ago and it lasted only 4 days, it was heavy on days 1 &2 but by 4 was gone so fast. I peed loads the other day- 5 times between 7.15am & 1pm. Recently our cat seems extra clingy. I have heard you can menstruate and still be PG so I am mayjorly mixed up. My boobs look firmer and feel huge.

My mum who I see rarely examined me as I thought all signs were in my head and it was her who spotted my darker, fuller breasts and a dark line of hair on my belly, my faint stretch marks on my thighs and she also said my belly was puffier and my lady garden lips were a bit purple. BUT my last period made me doubt PG. She also explained she had a friend who had periods for 7-8 months and she didn't realise she was PG.

HELP!!!!!

Have you taken a test? If so when?

highlove · 22/01/2012 20:57

Sorry, just actually read your second para. Your mum examined your lady garden? Er..?

AmyLouise222 · 23/01/2012 07:46

She is a nurse :) don't worry not tested as had AF so I dismissed the topic.

Do a test like any same person.

Methe · 23/01/2012 07:47

Sane

highlove · 23/01/2012 08:45

Right, well the only way to find out one way or the other is to do a test.

RightUpMyRue · 23/01/2012 13:46

How does your mum know what colour your nipples and lady garden normally are?

Don't mean to be rude but that is weird.

highlove · 23/01/2012 17:29

Sorry but I'm with rightupmyrue it is a bit weird, even if she is a nurse. I wondered if I was being a bit of a prude so I asked DH who was somewhat horrified at the prospect of me even having such a conversation with my mum, let alone her performing a fanjo examination on me!

Anyway, I hope when you test you get the result you want. Let us know how you get on.

She doesn't know what colour they normally are- I told her. I was so embarrassed but as she is medically trained I would rather she looked than a nurse I don't know. My DH and I don't really discuss my body changes much. It was weird but I just had to forget about the awkwardness.

Sorry to be so blunt but peeing on a stick is going to be the only way to be sure. Let us know how you get on.
