Any chance I might get a bfp 3 days before af is hypothetically due?

My cycles have been all over the place since I stopped bf and I'm not charting so I have no idea when I ovulated. My dh comes home from a trip overseas on Thursday and I would love to have some happy news waiting for him...but it would be 3 days before af is due, assuming a 28 day cycle.

Is it stupid to test or is there a chance that a bfp might show up?

If you used a more sensitive one (like first response or superdrug) and you are regular & have a 'normal' 28 day cycle, plus did it first thing in the morning, so your wee/hormone is more concentrated, you might get lucky!!
