My husband and I are trying to conceive at the moment but we know it won't be easy. We first had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in the loss of one of my fallopian tubes. We then had a miscarriage, followed by a semi-successful pregnancy. I say semi-successful as at 27+4 weeks I got pre-eclampsia and had to have an emergency c-section under general anaesthetic, and our dd was born weighing 1lb 13oz, now she is a happy healthy 5yr old. Since then we have had another 2 miscarriages and I have been finally diagnosed with pcos.

This week we have started a course of metformin, as I haven't ovulated for ages, to try and help us get pregnant. Hopefully before too long we will see success in the form of a little positive line on a stick.
