Hello all waves madly

Well my body decided to be play silly buggers the past couple of months. On my first cycle TTC, no less! AF arrived today, on CD46. HARRUMPH. Har har good joke, ladybits! Angry

But I am very delighted to see her in fact because I means my two months of confusion is over and I can now get cracking on this shiny new cycle!

Who's with me???? This is a glorious Superlux Superbus (the kind you'd see US presidential candidates rolling about in), with all de mod cons (dedicated champers fridge and shiny chrome margarita blender).

Zara1984 - TTC#1, Cycle 2, AF due 24 Feb

Congratulations Kelbells. I hope the luck continues... :)

Kelbells · 08/02/2012 09:55

Morning Ladies!

Thanks for the congrats!! How are all the bfp's feeling today? Anyone else testing?? Sticklebricksuk and Lyftdust... Any news??

Notthe I'm sensing implantation bleeding Grin.... Keeping it all crossed for you!

Tuesday I know what you mean about doing a little bit each day to help... And I got very obsessive excited trying to work out every dip and rise... Grin

Sunshine Good luck testing today Friday Smile...

So, my spotting continues today...... I rang my local epu today for some reassurance advice and with my previous history, they've offered me and early scan at lunchtime... I won't see much as it's so early but I suppose they'll check that everything's where it should be and not an ectopic etc... They'll then rescan in a couple of weeks if everything's well. Really trying to stay positive that it's just an early opportunity to meet the bean and I'm swinging between excitement and apprehensive deja vu.... But... I know spotting is REALLY common so excitement is winning at the moment (I've always been a glass half full kinda gal Smile)

In the meantime..... BFPs! BFPs! BFPs!!!!....

TooMuchRumba79 · 08/02/2012 11:04

MustBeDue - been having the same, was quite surprised about cm yesterday but maybe I've always had it like that and just haven't paid any attention to it previously. Got a faint line on opk. Felt randy. Thought all this should have been finished after my positive opk on Friday! Had horrible twinges all day but remember having these last month as well and still got AF. So my prognosis is that I'm just over-analysing everything again!

Puggymum - keep those TTC theme tunes coming!! Grin

Kelbells - are you going for your scan lunchtime today? How exciting! I'm sure everything is fine, sending lots of positive energy your way!! Smile

Give me B! (B!) Give me F! (F!) Give me P!(P!) Give me S! (S!)Gooooo Superbus!!!

Sticklebricksuk · 08/02/2012 12:34

kelbells no news here yet but have had awful cramping which I assumed was AF on her way but it's now 4 days later and no AF ?!?! So, am away for work dahn Sarf and have packed a pg test and tampons to cover both eventualities! Will test in the morning if no AF today. Staying in a hotel so can do it first thing without dh commenting that I am neurotic (despite asking every day if "anythings happening"!). Will keep you all updated as this bus seems to be soooo lucky so far!

Chunkychicken · 08/02/2012 12:46

Fingers crossed for you Kelbells and well done on thinking ahead Stickle :o

Feeling fine today although still can't believe it. Keep wondering if it was all a practical joke & AF will jump out from behind a tree or something, shouting 'Gotcha!'. Will test again at the weekend to make sure that the line is getting darker (as I have a twin pack of tests calling my name!!) and then maybe allow myself to get a bit excited.

Also swing between wanting to tell everybody everything in RL and then wanting to wait until I'm a bit more certain. I suppose I should get myself booked in with a midwife at some point too!!

It's weird, last time, everything went really well and I had a straightforward pregnancy, quick delivery of a full term baby, but I sort of just assumed it would be fine from the moment I got the BFP. Now I'm nervous & a bit worried about what might go wrong (MC, prem baby, scans show probs, C-section) and scared to let myself believe its happening. Perhaps a case of too much information??!! Anyone else expecting #2+ feel like that, or am I bonkers? Blush

Anyway, sending +ve vibes to all for a BFP this month. October will be baby-boom month!! :o

PrimalChic · 08/02/2012 17:46

TMI... Does anyone else get lots of CM around 10dpo? Wierd. Pretty sure I didn't miss ovulation and last time I checked you don't ovulate twice in a cycle.

Panzee · 08/02/2012 18:00

So excited for all the BFPs! I've been getting cramps so I think AF is on her way (boo!) Still clinging to a hope though! Not due till Saturday so who knows? :o

Chunkychicken · 08/02/2012 18:20

PrimalChic if this isn't too much TMI but I usually get a lot of CM all month long although through consistency changes... However, (excess) CM can be a sign of pg.

I had really weird backache yesterday Panzee but not sure whether I noticed more because of the BFP or whether it was related, but I kept wondering if I'd read the test wrong as it def like pre-AF aches!!

I've said this in my last post, but still not counting my chickens. Another BFP & no AF at the weekend & I'll feel a little more certain... Confused

sunshinejanuary · 08/02/2012 18:56

I want to test so badly it is ridiculous!! DH says I have to wait till Friday but I am not sure I can!!
Sticklebricks i will be thinking of you - I almost feel I can't test until you have, almost ;)
Panzee, in answer to your question. Weirdly, since I had DD I have very little discharge of any sort. I have wondered if this is because I have been breastfeeding the whole time and this has changed my hormone levels etc? I can barely remember before that!
ChunlyChicken try not to worry and just enjoy the ride. I know hard to do right? I am a worrier and fouind the 12 weeks after the 2ww last time round very hard! I was worried about 'things going wrong' and also busting to tell people! Whatever feels right for you is the right thing. Tell people if it would help and not if it wouldn't!
Kells I hope things went well with the scan.

piggyboo · 08/02/2012 19:25

chunky i could have written your last post, i feel exactly the same, was a bit ignorant of the risks first time round.

My sis has had 5 MC since i had DD so kinda keeps the possibility of it in the front of my mind. Also i feel terrible that i've got to tell my sis i'm pregnant so soon after her last MC.

TooMuchRumba79 · 08/02/2012 19:49

Hows everyone else dealing with the 2ww emotions; doubt, pessimism etc?
Any other first time TTCers getting a lot of 'it's easy for you as you got no kids / it's just the two of you's' etc all the time from people they know and feeling sad about it?

Chunkychicken · 08/02/2012 20:34

Thanks Piggyboo glad its not just me!! I guess reading about other women's heartache on here doesn't help either, as it makes you realise it doesn't always go smoothly. Trying to keep calm & carry on at the moment - although that's quite tough!!! :)

Kelbells · 08/02/2012 20:36

Thanks for the positive thoughts and concern guys....

Sticklebricks Hope work have put you up in a lush hotel?! Fingers crossed in the morning... I'll be checking first thing for the results Smile

Chunky I think you're right, the more you know, the more you worry about... I'm sure you'll breeze through this pregnancy (with the odd barf along the way!)... Oh, and backache is one of my pg symptoms too....

Primal Defo more CM when you've become preggers! I think (according to FF fertile fluid dries up after ovulation)

Panzee It's not over 'til it's over... Good luck!

Sunshine You have willpower Grin

So, the appointment left me a little bit in limbo today but I'm still hopeful... They did a scan which showed a little empty uterus (apparently this isn't necessarily a bad thing...It's just too early after implantation to see a yolk sac) so they've taken bloods for HCG levels and progesterone... I'll have more bloods Fri to see if the HCG has doubled and I think I'll get the progesterone tomorrow... Still, the spotting has stopped for the mo Smile

In the meantime, DH is cooking me a gorgeous dinner and bought haagen das to treat me... Now I know why I married him..... Grin

Kelbells · 08/02/2012 20:44

Piggy I know how you must be feeling.... I've been in the same position as your sis recently as both my DB/SIL and SIL on hubby's side got preggers within a month of my first MC. If her emotions are anything like mine, there'll be a huge mix of excitement and happiness for you and the why isn't it me/cheated feeling as well....

It might be none of my business but one of them told me to my face and the other on the phone a few days before I saw them... I really appreciated hearing about it on the phone, having a good cry and sorting myself out so that I could be genuinely happy for them when I saw them Smile

Lyftiduft · 08/02/2012 20:48

ooh congrats on the BFPs and hello to most people! I am testing tomorrow I think. I've had a horrible D&V bug for almost a week... am wondering actually if it's merged into morning sickness now, though it was definitely a bug/dodgy food to begin with as DS had it too. But now I can barely eat and I'm exhausted, feel sick most of the time... Toddler and illness, or pregnancy? Or all three! No other real symptoms mind, certainly not like my mc and DS.

Hope things go ok kells.

piggyboo · 08/02/2012 21:43

well i text my sis to say was coming round, when i got there the first thing she said to me is 'you're pregnant aren't you?' apparently she'd already guessed even tho i haven't told anyone else yet and don't really have any obvious symptoms. She was v kind and said congratulations but i could tell she was a little upset. My nephew even asked her if she was ok so he must have picked up on something.

bettergetamoveon · 08/02/2012 22:42

piggyboo and others, congratulations on your BFP's! Piggy, I haven't dealt with this before so have no words of wisdom. All I can say is your sister will of course have mixed emotions right now but you know she loves you and I hope everything works out well for you both.

I've hardly been on here because we've been dealing with colds/flu, a dh working away and most importantly my FIL being very ill. Thought we'd missed my window or I just wasn't going to ovulate this month but looks like I'm ovulating later than Fertility Friend suggested. Anyway we've TWI couple of times this week and I'm hoping for another few sessions tomorrow am/pm and the next day because I think this is the right time. Let's hope my dh is as motivated as me Smile

Oh, if anyone is interested, Superdrug had their own brand OPK on buy 1 get one free on Monday, so £15 for 10 sticks which I thought was quite a good deal.

PrimalChic · 08/02/2012 22:58

Fingers crossed for a BFP with all this cm then!! :)

TooMuch I get that all the time, people telling me I'm lucky to have evenings to myself or worse, parents asking us when we're going to start trying because they want grandkids. We are trying, really hard!!

AFox · 09/02/2012 01:33

Can I join?

TTC#2 Cycle 12 AF due 18/02

floatinglotus · 09/02/2012 07:13

Congrats to the BFP ladies!

I am about 7dpo or so, no symptoms except heavy, tender boobs which are also a normal period symptom for me. Read Emma Cannon's Baby Making Bible book a few days ago, which was a bit hippy but interesting.

Amazingly I have zero urge to test, I'm so busy at work right now that I've barely thought about TTC since ovulation! Hopefully I will still be this calm about it in a week's time.

PrimalChic · 09/02/2012 08:56

Tested this morning (superdrug early) 10dpo. BFN :( will hold out until Saturday, just before I order a cocktail. It's going to be a good cocktail.

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 09/02/2012 09:11

TooMuchRumba79 I'm certainly swinging between pessimism and, well certainly not optimism, but I guess realism!

Luckily I'm busy at work and at home but if given any opportunity to dwell I'm planning to test next week, yet planning our SWI for next month!

I can't help but think that if I weren't such an organiser I could relax more and just go with it, particularly as this is only cycle 1!

Sticklebricksuk · 09/02/2012 09:14

Well I woke up this morning all excited and rushed to the loo in my hotel (which is lush thanks kelbells!). Got my first response which I'd been saving for today. BFN Sad I was trying not to get my hopes up but I think I'd sort of convinced myself it was going to be positive. Sad. But still no AF and no sign. All cramping stopped and just feel normal iykwim?! Any ideas ladies? Surely first response is sensitive to detect anything given that today is supposed to be the day AF comes so I must not be pg right? What's next? Just wait for AF to roll in to town?

cherrypiew3 · 09/02/2012 10:27

Welcome Afox

Primal and Stickle Sorry BFN for you both but you never know until you know who shows up. With my last 2 pg I was 3 weeks late before I got any sort of positive result and it did not matter which test I used.

Well AF is at last on her way out so I am starting to put my SWI plan into action starting from this weekend going to go for dtd every other day if we can.

Kelbells · 09/02/2012 12:25

Morning all!

Boo to this morning's BFNs but yay to no reports of AF.... All to play for ladiesSmileGrin

Lyftiduft - Thanks... Hoping for all 3 for you!

Floatinglotus I admire that you're as zen like as your name... I was obsessive during the 2ww... I could learn a thing or two!

Piggy It must be a relief to have told her... She'll be fine Smile, I realised yesterday that I hadn't seen my bro's scan results and when I asked he sounded soooo happy that I wanted to know, I hadn't realised they were so aware of not talking to me about it. They've been letting me make the first moves and I really appreciate that....

Welcome Afox I've added your stats to the list for you...
