Evaporation line? Or very faint positive?

We have some cheap internet pg sticks, and (13 and 14 dpo) they come up looking pretty negative but then about 10 mins after there is a faint (very very very) faint line/shadow. Then about an hour later you can't see it. You're supposed to read the result 5 mins after. Is this an evaporation line? I don't really know what that is. Or is it a good sign? I know the sensible thing to do is wait a few days (due on Thurs/Fri), but its very difficult - 8th month of trying, and had all symptoms possible at various months. This month just ridiculous hunger and cramps at 5-9 dpo.

Has anyone else had this happen, where you thought there was a faint line? Give me hope, or help me feel more realistic?

I think it probably is an evaporation line, if it comes up outside the time stated on the test instructions. Sorry.

i think if the faint line is the same colour as the test line rthan its a faint positive usually evaporation lines are colourless or grey , i used the cheap internet tests and the results early on only came at 10 mins but then even the faint line stayed you can still see it now and my baby is 7 weeks old! I think you're best bet is to go and buy a digital test so you know once and for all.
Good luck

then not rthan

Thanks - am trying not to be optimistic (been there...). What exactly causes an evaporation line? I think its the same colour, but to be honest, its too faint to really see (am bit embarrassed about how much I've squinted at it!). Will just have to wait, I suppose.

In my experience - digital tests are not always the best - but are the most expensive. I got 2 digitals because I thought the result would be obvious e.g. pregnant or not pregnant - however they both showed not pregnant. When my af still hadn't come, I tested using a 'normal' one e.g. showed a line if pregnant - and I was pregnant - due in 12 days.

So perhaps leave it for a while, perhaps you are testing too early? The most expensive tests aren't necessarily the most accurate imo. Good luck xx

Any news yet?

SEems like evaporation line - AF here. Starting acupuncture in the hope it will help. Have sworn off ever doing tests again (as for every month...).
Thanks for support.
