Early period or Implantation Bleeding?

Hi all,

Ive just joined the site and really hope someone will be able to give me some advice.
My last period came on the 20th December and usually comes around that date or later in the month. I had sex with my bf around that time and ever since then I have felt very tired, exhausted even, tender breasts and going to the loo a lot more often. yesterday I got what first looked like a rather weird period, brownish blood. Yet it has got heavier overnight, with some small clotting and quite heavy. If it is my period its a week early. Ive stopped smoking recently and gone back to work after the Christmas hols. My period is pretty regular and never comes in the middle of a month. Is this rather heavy implantation bleeding or an early period?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

It sounds too heavy to be ib.. Was your last period normal or lighter than normal?

Also I think you'd be unlikely to get pg from having sex aroun your period, particularly if your cycles are regular (& you therefore normally ovulate a few weeks after your period). Not saying it's impossible but it's unlikely.

Sorry I can't help much more-maybe wait a few days and test, if only to set your mind at rest.

My last period was normal. I will do a test at the end of the week. :)
