Angels and Rainbows - The beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. But it can provide colour and hope.

“Rainbow Babies” is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn’t mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counter balance of color, energy and hope.

Just a quick one to say no AF as of yet.

fanjodisfunction · 12/02/2012 09:04

Ok CD30 and for the past few months this is when AF usually starts, so far nothing. I'm planning on satying busy today got housework to do and also my bff is suppose to ring me later so that should waste another couple of hours lnowing her.
I do have lower back ache this morning, and it kind of feels like AF is loaming but I'm still not sure. So I am all ready for testing in the morning if she doesn't raise her ugly head.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 12/02/2012 09:17

Good luck Fan - keep v busy!

Whatevertheweather · 12/02/2012 10:10

Hoping for you fan xx
Lots of distraction techniques needed for you today!

We are the house of bugs again. Freya has a cold, I have sore throat, DH has the runs. Gah. Used to be so healthy!

But, we have now had two more viewings on the house which is Grin. Not hoping for offers (lets not get ahead of ourselves here!) but nice to know the place is of some interest to some people. Good start.

Whatevertheweather · 12/02/2012 11:36

Fan if you need a distraction today take a walk round the creek it's completely iced over and looks amazing! K dragged me there at 9am this morning to have a look brrrr!

Split we're a house of coughs and colds too! You would think this weather would be too cold for all these bugs to survive! Hope the viewings go well xx

spilttheteaagain · 12/02/2012 11:41

Know what you mean wtw, brrrr indeed! We went to a wetland centre yesterday. Very Grin to see the ducks skating!

blizy · 12/02/2012 11:46

Fan I have everything crossed for you!

Spilt- hope you all feel better soon and the house gets sold quickly!

Whatever- that sounds like a good walk. How are you feeling, hope you are not too sicky?

Angel- fab news about Dh job!

Ciwi- not long to go, hang in there!

I am feeling sorry for myself just now, I am I'll with sinusitis and Dh is working away next week, I am never going to pg with him regularly away around ov time.Sad

AngelGeorgie · 12/02/2012 13:07

Blizy hope you feel better soon & manage to see your hubby at the right time!!!
Fan FX here xxxx

razzdazz · 12/02/2012 20:04

Hello all, hope the weekend has been good to you.
angel fantastic news about Ants job, you must feel so relieved, I no I would.
ciwi really hope that you get the delivery date that you want this week.
blizy working away other halfs is such a pain when ttc. If you no your cycle really well is dh booking some time off around THE time a possibility?? I planned my dh return visit to coincide with potential ovulation for this pregnancy!!
fan all the luck in the world being sent your way for hopeful testing in the morning
spilt we are selling our house at the moment and I hate it. Having to keep show home conditions all of the time just in case is a killer!!! Hope you get some good feed back from your viewings.

I went baby shopping with my mum on friday (not even the snow could stop me) and spent way more than I should of. Lost myself in the whole bubble of excitement for the day which was great. Sat on the sofa today with ds who had his hand on my tummy when baby decided to give the biggest kick ever, ds leaped across the room with shock Grin which had us all laughing.

Whatevertheweather · 12/02/2012 20:48

Aww Razz that sounds fab Smile Can't wait to feel baby kicks again.

Fan hope no sign of the witch xx

SIL text me today (dp bro's wife) to say she is pregnant and due 16th August. Eek. They don't know about me yet. Feeling a bit freaked - will be lovely if all goes well for both of us (they have a ds just 7 mths younger than K) but am scared now if something goes wrong we will have a permanent reminder of a baby that should have been the same age iyswim. Also probably sounds silly but I really really don't want their baby to be born on 25th Aug either. Fx all will be well for both of us as it will be lovely to have babies so close in age.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Off to watch Dancing on Ice now Smile

wtw that's lovely about you SIL! It's indeed nice having children close in age!

My sister is 17 weeks tomorrow and I keep thinking that I know exactly how big her little one is, as Sterre was the size of a 17 week old baby...
I just pray that everything will go smoothly for her!

Fan thinking of you! Hope the ugly witch is staying away! x

blizy · 12/02/2012 21:17

razz No chance of time off Sad. Hope the house sells soon, and Grin at bump kicks!

whatever fab news about sil, although I can understand your anxiety surrounding her pregnancy and due date.

Hi blue hope you are ok?

fan How are you doing?

AngelGeorgie · 12/02/2012 23:47

Razz that's lovely about your son!!!Grin
I m good ... Certainly is a relief Ants working again also as I ve had enough of him being at home now!! He's beginning to do my head in!!! We always work better with limited time together only!!!
Blue my sister would have been about 18 weeks now if she hadn t miscarried. Your sister must be due roughly same time my Sis was due ??? 11 th July.
Hope Fan is ok?xx

AngelGeorgie · 12/02/2012 23:48

Whatever congrats to your SIL xx

fanjodisfunction · 13/02/2012 05:35

The witch has raised her ugly head this morning! Bitch!

fanjodisfunction · 13/02/2012 07:08

Why is it so good damn hard, 18 months trying to get Ophelia and it ends so badly, and now 10 months and nothing! It sucks, and it doesn't seam fair at all, I'm trying so hard and nothing is happening.
I'm sorry girls I'm trying to be positive but its not really working, I'm trying to get ready for work and that's not working either.

How's it going blizy it must be hard what with the year anniversary coming up and your DH working so hard away. Been thinking of you a lot this weekend.

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 13/02/2012 07:32

Oh fan... nothing I can say except I am so sorry. It sounds silly, but I sort of felt that because you were being so controlled and good that it would be your time this month. Very silly, given that we all know too well that life doesn't work like that. The only thing I can say is that your sadness and disappointment is shared... And there is next month to work towards. I felt exactly like you last week with AF - but feeling a little more positive now. Go with the feelings, let them out and most of all, be gentle on yourself - do some things you enjoy, whether it is walking, eating, reading, shopping, whatever... We are here too. xx

Whatevertheweather · 13/02/2012 07:53

Oh Fan I'm so so sorry. First thing I did was check on here to see if you had posted. I really hoped this would be your month. It is so unfair. Can you take a sicky from work today? Spend the day under a duvet, cry, scream, rage, whatever you need to do. It must be so hard. Thinking of you xx

OP posts:
razzdazz · 13/02/2012 08:28

So sorry fan, it really is so very unfair. Hope you were able to have a good cuddle with dh.

spilttheteaagain · 13/02/2012 10:10

fan I'm so sorry Sad xx

blue gosh yes I know just what you mean. On my antenatal thread with Freya one of the other women was a few weeks ahead and she got all excited at being x weeks and I so nearly blurted out "aaaw I know just what your baby looks like now, because Bobbie was that size". Then thought aargh no, the last thing she will want to hear is me saying her live baby looks like my dead one. Blush So hard to remember sometimes!

wtw completely understand your feelings about your SILs baby and dates. I would feel just the same.

blizy what date is Zoe's birthday?

AngelGeorgie · 13/02/2012 10:11

Fan so sorry xxx

blizy · 13/02/2012 10:21

Oh fan that is shit! I hope you are ok and get through cd1, it's always the worst. Hugs for you. X
I am ok'ish, just a bit weepy. I am having lots of flashbacks though and keep thinking if this time last year.

Spilt- Zoe died on the 26th and was born on the 28th feb. her due date was the 20th.

I think i am due to ov the end if the week and Dh will back on fri night, I hope I have my dates right. Although I don't think I will
Be too upset if this isn't the month as Feb will always be Zoe's month. I hope that makes sense.

Anyway, I hope everyone is well and had a good day. More hugs for you fan. X

fanjodisfunction · 13/02/2012 10:39

Thank you ladies, I'm at work but I'm taking the afternoon off, can't stand these fake people today.
DH goes to work to early so didn't see him this morning, had to tell him by txt.

blizy totally understand how you feel about feb being zoes month.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 13/02/2012 11:21

Oh Fan, I'm so sorry. Sad I was thinking of you all weekend and really hoping this was going to be it for you. Take care of yourself today. I'm glad you've taken the afternoon off. I would get into bed with a giant bar of chocolate and a mug of tea and just withdraw from the world a bit. In fact, I would have a lot of some Wine, but you don't drink, do you?

Blizy, thinking of you too, especially as Zoe's dates get closer. I've kind of followed you through the year - do you remember how you very kindly PMed me when I first posted about Thea's death? You've been a huge support (as has everyone else!). I hope DH gets back in time this weekend!

I'm getting on okay - had Dad, stepmother and their 3 kids staying at the weekend, which occupied my mind nicely. I made it through another weekend! I am ridiculously proud of this. I'm now in my third last week at work, hurray! 33+3 today. Only 3 weeks and 4 days to go until D Day. After Friday I think it will start to seem so short, when it is less than 3 weeks away. I'm getting a lot of Braxton Hicks now, just to keep me on my toes. Ciwi, how are you getting on? 35 weeks is my next milestone.
