My sister is convinced that it is... any ideas?

I think it is bollocks myself!

Lol

I think the general consensus is that as long as it's something you're already doing, you can continue to do it when ttc/pg.

(And I can't see that zumba's any higher impact than running, myself?)

molschambers · 12/01/2012 14:14

No. If pregnant mention to the teacher. Otherwise, your sis is being ridiculous.

eurochick · 12/01/2012 14:42

Your sister is being ridiculous.

Yes well know forms of contraception are:

The pill
The coil
Condoms
Dancing to loud music with other women

One of the better excuses I've heard for avoiding an exercise class....

joycep · 12/01/2012 20:43

I hope not as I zumba twice a week! I also have seen pregnant women in my class. go for it I say.

FriendofDorothy · 12/01/2012 20:52

Hahah. I told her that as I have been doing all the things I should be doing to get pregnant but have been entirely unsuccessful, then I should try all the things that are bad for me... that might include Zumba and loads of fags and booze!

Whilst I rationally know that this isn't the case, a bit of my brain blames my lack of BFP on zumba 'shaking the baby out' and preventing implantation. The rest of my brain knows that this is Bad Science, but still the notion persists! I'm not going to stop going though cos I bloody love zumba Grin

Agree with popcorn though care infertility ban several things after egg transfer which would be equivalent to 2ww. It includes sex lifting heavy house work and advise gentle exercise which was walking and yoga. On the other hand Paula Radcliffe ran marathons

bettybat · 13/01/2012 10:57

Well, then I'm kind of screwed because while I've been TTCing, I've been swimming, climbing trees, rope climbing, gymnastics, kettle bells, getting into Olympic lifting, Thai Boxing and all sorts of other things!

bettybat · 13/01/2012 10:59

Thai boxing being you know, no actual shots to the belly Wink Can you imagine! Hahahaha!
