I thought CM charting was a good way of seeing if you are near ovulation.
I have PCO so the sticks aren't always too reliable...even though my Consultant told me to use them Confused

I get up in the night thanks to DS so is charting going to work?

Advice needed please, my brain hurts!

In short, no, it's unreliable - you can have EWCM without actually ovulating. If your consultant advised you to use OPKs, I'd use OPKS.

You can always combine charting with OPKs. For me, CM charting is very accurate as I only get it once a month, just before ov but I know not everyone is the same. But I only know that from tracking it alongside temps and/or OPKs for a few months.

I wouldn't use it as my only fertility sign, no. I'd use it in conjunction with temp, CP etc.
That said, I have used it as my only form, and it worked. But like the previous poster said, that will work for some and not others.

No i loose CM daily and it can vary each day. Some days it could be EWCM then hours after it could be clear iykwim? i qouldnt trust it.

What's CP silentmammoth?
Can I chart even if I'm up in the night?
I'm PCO is charting effective?
Only 2 years ago since I had my first and I clearly have forgotten everything!

I clearly get EWCM at the time that matches my dates and my OPKS
I would like to chart too to give me a better idea what's going on I think.

Thanks for the kind replies.

Cervical position. It takes a bit of getting the hang of but imho has been invaluable, especially the month I ov'd 9 days earlier than normal but got pg thanks to noticing CP.

Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility? I HIGHLY recommend it and it would answer all your questions in a far more informed way than I could try!

I found the Fertility Friend website great for charting (and worth the better version you get from paying a small subscription too). You can chart according to ewcm, temp and other things like mood and it'll work it all out for you.

Yellow flowers I'm using the app 'my days' at the moment seems to be ok. I definitely will chart and plug it in there. It's got my ovulation bang on.

I'm sure I have a look for that book thank you, I'll try and work out the positioning should be easier I think they say if you have had a baby already.

If only we could just have sex hey?
