Feeling low...

I had a miscarriage back in May 2011. The baby was due around the beginning of December... I dealt with that fine. Both my birthday and my DD's birthday are in December, so it was a busy time for us.

We've been trying again since the miscarriage and I honestly thought I was pregnant this month as my periods have been so regular since the miscarriage (every 23-27 days) and it just didn't come. I have done 2 pregnancy test (1 at 24 days and 1 today at 29 days) and they were both negative. I also had some bleeding mid cycle which I thought was probably ovulation bleeding and I've been having cramps for days, but no period. What's going on?!

What a crap start to the year! On top of this, my fridge freezer broke down, my dishwasher broke down and the roof of our flats landed on my car during the storms and the insurance company are paying about a grand less than it's worth. Have also just signed my DD up to go into nursery 3 mornings a week and it's made me realise how quickly the time goes... I turned 40 in December and this just feels as if I've missed the chance to have another child.

Feeling very sorry for myself at the moment...

I can relate to a lot of what you say. I'm also TTC DC2 and had 2 mcs last year. The first baby should have been due in October 2011 and I still catch myself thinking that I should have a baby by now.

Sounds like you have had some rotten luck and I hope things change for you this year. FWIW I asked my consultant if my age (36) was a factor in the mcs and she said that loads of women have babies in their early 40s with no problems, so please don't lose heart yet.
