How long did it take to conceive 2nd child?

I was pregnant as soon a I started TTC first time round...unbelievably lucky I know! I am just starting TTC #2 and already (irrationally!) concerned that it will somehow take ages...and M trying to moderate my expectations.

So...just wondering, how long did it take for you to conceive your first and second child?

5 years and still trying. (ive had loads of mcs though)

3 years for ds, again mcs before we got him....

First month for ds, still trying for %232, in cycle 4 and am due in tomorrow. Don't think I'm pregnant though.

Well, we weren't trying, we just weren't taking preventative action

8 months for number 1 and 6 months after number 1 was born, number 2 was conceived.

I had to work that out on a bit of paper

Dd - first month
MC - 8 months
Current pregnancy (6 weeks) - 10 months

I was very naive after it was so easy the first time. You might get lucky though!

DD- 10 months
TTC #2- ongoing 4 years and 4 months (52 months) but i have had 6 MCs in that time.

fingers crossed you will get lucky quickly

DD - 7 months
DS1 - 2 months
2 pg that I mc that were both accidents whilst using withdrawal method
DS2 - 8 months

2 months for each. Rather more quickly than we expected!

First month for Ds, and first month again for dc2 due in may - v lucky! I'd just come off the pill both times so I think it may have been the hormone rush!

First attempt with DC1 (on honeymoon) then 7 months with DC2 (felt longer). I was 36 and then 39.

forgot one pill with DS (an accident)

with DD we TTC for 9mths before me getting pg.

I was 33 then 35

Dd1 was a happy accident.
Ds1 conceived after 1 month (we had sex every day in fertile period - I was slighty obsessed)
Dd2 also a happy accident

First month off pill with DD. Then first month off pill second time as well. Still don't know why I was so surprised but I thought it would take ages.

On cycle five now, came on this morning. Bugger!

One shag. I kid you not. First child took 3 years so work that one out. We were thinking about starting trying, only managed to have sex once in the right time frame, 10 days later I was puking in the toilet watching the plus line appear on a test.

3 months with DS, first time with 2nd pg but unfortunately ended in mc and then 3rd cycle after mc with this pg (just found out last week).

Worth getting some ovulation sticks if you are quite keen to get pg straight away. Amazon do them very reasonably.

1 month for DS.
2 years and counting for DC2 - 1 m/c during that time and getting very impatient now...

First month for DD. One previous very unplanned pregnancy (which ended in MC) despite being on pill and sex an annual event.

Now on 5th cycle for DC2 - two chemical pregnancies so far and sincerely hoping to either be "properly" pregnant or have AF by this saturday.

I got really fed up about how long it was taking this time as I had really got into the mindset that I tend to get pregnant if DP looks at me with a glint in his eye - but I think I may have been being a teeny bit unreasonable!
