Just wondering whether it has any effect on a next pregnancy. My dd has just turned 1 and I am ready to start ttc again.

My placenta was manually removed after ds2, too big and too stuck apparently but had no affect at all in conceiving ds3 and no birth or placenta problems with him, it was all textbook.... good luck!

Yes, me! Fell pregnant again a few weeks before DD turned 2, 2 month of trying. Am under a consultant this time due to the manual removal first time. Cons said it is likely to happen again, but all he would suggest is a medically managed 3rd stage ie have the injection to speed up delivery of placenta, and that the mws will just be prepared for it to happen. Really no biggie and no one is concerned.

Yes, me too. No problems in conceiving dd2....the placenta behaved itself too, just as well since I had an unplanned home birth! Good luck.
