A really daft question

as it says above, I pretty much know the answer but could do with hearing your thoughts.

I use the clear blue fertility monitor so I know my cycle pretty well, we dtd on day 5 of my cycle and I got a high on days 13 & 14, then my peak on day 15, is there any chance I could be pregnant or is it a medical impossibility? I'm living in frustrated hope as he was away on days 13, 14 & 15 so we couldn't do anything...

It would be pretty unlikely in my view. 10 days is a long time for sperm to live. But you had unprotected sex so there is always a chance.

My advice would be to try to so it every other day from the end of your period until after you are sure you have ovulated (or throughout the cycle if you have that much stamina!).

It is almost certainly impossible. Better luck next month with being able to get your fertile days. It's a shame you didn't do it on day 12 before he went away as then you would have been in with a bit of a chance. It's worth doing it at least twice a week even when it is showing low days in the first half of your cycle.

Thanks, it strangely puts my mind at rest
