Chicken, I may try the tracker, thanks. I like to think that I'm quite "in tune" with my body and so I'm going to go with CM as a guide. Can't be bothered charting/taking temperature etc and I'm too tight to pay for ovulation kits. I have one question though, when you get the stretchy CM, is that when you're actually ovulating or when you're nearing ovulation? I think i've already started getting CM, although it's not the massively wet and stretchy ones - I'm day 10 in my cycle though and since my cycles are quite long it doesn't make sense does, it??

Missus: I told my best friend straightaway as I had to tell someone. I waited for the first scan for everyone else, apart my hairdresser who guessed!

Throat is killing and nose is pouring I can only have paracetamol! I had better be pg or i am going to be extremely annoyed

I have one question though, when you get the stretchy CM, is that when you're actually ovulating or when you're nearing ovulation?

iirc it's supposed to happen a 1-3 days before you ovulate, which theoretically is your most fertile time.

Am I too late? A shuttle sounds quite good fun.

We're TTC#2, but I've only just stopped taking the pill so have no idea when AF is due next. I was regular as clockwork beforehand, and we conceived DD the first month we tried so I'm excited but nervous too.

Missus - we told my Mum the week after we knew because DH was going abroad with work and we felt someone needed to know, I think I was 6 weeks by then. We told the PIL's the following week but then kept it under wraps until after the 12 week scan as much as possible.

For post pill erratic cycles I can recommend acupuncture

AlwaysWild, what kind of acupunture? I'm fed up my cycle is clearly not playing fair this month as I should have ovulated by now and... nothing... It is so frustrating!!!

Although have just watched one born every minute... Maybe its a good job I'm not ovulating yet... I'm utterly terrified after watching it!!!

ChunkyChicken & RunningKatie, thanks for sharing. We told his parents last night and I called my mom tonight. She totally freaked out, in a good way.

I also told our flatmate because we lodge with a friend and thought it might be awkward if she guessed or overheard us talking about it or noticed me not drinking. She's very excited and can't wait to see her fiance this weekend so they can get back to TTC themselves.

I will also tell my sister but I think we'll wait until the scan before we tell anyone else.

My boobs are hurting a bit less but there are all sorts of weird cramping/pulling sensations in my womb and I must have peed eight gallons today.

Thanks ahhhpushit! Feeling a bit... Strange today I must say. Sore boobs and tired and dopey. Although it could all be in my head. Congrats Missus! I told my parents and siblings when I was 10 weeks as I was seeing them for hristmas. I had told two of my friends that I suspected I was pg before I POAS, but only because I was bloody terrified!

Wee like the chinesey type I think. Although my acupuncturist isn't chinese. I think there's only 2 types, the muscle pain bung the needles in wherever one, and the chinesey specific locations for specific problems energy channels one. I have the latter.

I went from cycles all over the place, spotting lots of the time, western DRs with no idea and speculation was no ovulation, to regular cycles. Not TTCed proper quite yet (I'm currently sat at the back of this shuttle ) so don't know in that regard. Some acupuncturists specialise in that kind of stuff

In the last 2 days, I've worn odd shoes, left the oven on, overslept and missed a meeting, put handsoap on a toothbrush, left my handbag in a pub (soft drinks of course and yes I got it back) and forgotten my keys.

This 2ww is very distracting!

Wait! Can I join too please?! I'm in the middle of the 2ww and going a little bit stir crazy! We've been ttc DC2 for a year with a miscarriage at 6/7 weeks in June. I've stuck myself in the list if that's alright.

ov+8 for me today. I did a superdrug early test today but a BFN. Not going to get upset though as I know 6 days before AF is stupidly early!!! (I hope!)

BFN this am but nauseaus and got a horrible cold. only 9 dpo so prob too early was 14 dpo before i got a bp with DD so need to be more patient.

For those of you with DC's did u get nausea before u got your BFP? sure it was later with DD.

And now I've turned up to the wrong office in the wrong building for a meeting. Not very impressive!

I think it has more to do with giving up the caffiene. Had a cup of coffe to lift the cloud off my brain. Can't lose my job before getting up the duff!!

Piggyboo I can't really remember when I started getting nauseous with my DD but I was on a cruise ship when AF failed to visit, so maybe I put it down to that?? All I remember is feeling that my boobs had pumped up to the size of balloons & felt like my nipples were out on stalks, they were so sensitive. Having said that, my mum said she started to feel sick almost the moment my parents conceived me, so anything's possible!

Feeling a bit fed up today. Been really emotional & now have a spot which is sore, along with the sore boobs. Said to DH that I better bloody be pregnant otherwise I have the MOTHER of all PMT sessions coming... Still got 9 days before AF, & at least 5 before I can test. No idea when I ov so can't go on that - assume day 14 in a 28 day average cycle but don't monitor it at all, so could be ANYTIME!!!

Piggyboo: I didn't get any of the usual symptoms, although I was on high alert of any twitches my body was making. No sore boobs, no pain, nothing... apart from wanting to lick the TV when I saw Jamie making something with anchovies (which I can't stand). A few days after I had to go to the shop at 10am to buy salt and vinegar crisps (again, which I don't normally eat). Then I got a tiny bit of pink spotting, which I thought was AF coming but when it wasn't there a couple of days later my DH pretty much shoved a test in my face and it was a BFP. I got massive pain in my stomach/uterus/whatever 10days or so earlier - so bad I had to lie down at work - with hindsight I think it was implantation but I may be wrong.

Hello please may I jump on board!

I'm ttc no.2 on currently on cd15 and lots of swi!! AF due 24th jan and I believe I may have 33 day cycle. I came off my pill in oct and had first AF in nov so I think my body is still sorting itself out!

When we had ds1 I was never ttc so this is fairly new to me! It happened straight away but this was 7 years ago now!

Can someone add me to the ever growing list please x

Hi there, can I join the shuttle too please?
I'm TTC no.1, CD17 - last couple of cycles have been quite long - 44, 43, 41 days... I came off the pill in August after quite a long time and I guess my body is just trying to re-boost my ovaries...
I have no idea if I'm ovulating, but am having plenty of regular SWI for the last week (and next couple I guess given my cycle length previously!). I'm not going to get too obsessed yet with ov sticks etc. Agreed with DH we'd just have fun until after Easter and if nothing happening will get more proactive..
So I guess AF due first week in February sometime...
I've cut down on caffeine, but am still drinking , doing plenty of exercise and eating well, taking prenatal vitamins when I remember and actually really enjoying feeling very close to DH and having plenty of SWI

Have woken up feeling distinctly 'unpregnant'. Have had a bad night with DD as she started vomiting about 6.30 at the dinner table & didn't stop - couldn't keep anything down. So now feeling tired, & stressed, but figure that's lack of sleep & work worries, so nothing new there!! But my BB soreness has gone... Which is good in some ways but makes me wonder what's going on in there. I KNEW it was extremely unlikely to happen immediately, as it did in the past (I'm 2.5yrs older for 1 thing, & now in my thirties) but still, I guess the 'signs' helped get my hopes up & now I don't know what to do. I'll just have to endure the 8 day ish wait to see...

Anyone else finding the waiting hard? Perhaps we should go to the back of shuttle, crack open a bottle of wine & watch a girlie Rom-com or something??? :)

I'm with you Chunkychicken. Aching back pain and PMS moods yesterday but probably more down to bad posture all day and commuter rage. Today fine, awake, matching shoes and no longer ratty. Also seem to have lost weight by giving up booze and nice cheeses (it's only been a week!)

How about Bridemaids, some Green Blacks icecream and a bottle of fizz? We can save the Bollinger for when the bfp comes!
