Hey! Just wanted abit of clarification I think! We couldnt have as much SWI this month as we have family staying all week :( We did manage it on day 9, day 13 and day 14 (I ovulated on day 14) I figure we are still in with a good chance because of the time we had SWI-am i right? every month counts and we are coming up to that year cut off before we will be visiting the doctor, I want to do everything we can before then as Im so scared :(

Sounds perfect to me! :)

Sounds like enough to me!

Sounds like sufficient swi but don't get too hung up on enough because you'll only be more devastated if it doesn't happen this month. Doctors are very supportive about this in general. Bear in mind 80% couples conceive within a year and 90% within 18 months...therefore half of couples that get referred for fertility investigations conceive before they have investigations. Try not to worry too much.

If you did ovulate on day 14 then you had sex on both "peak" days, what more can you do?
However, even if you hit the best days, you still only have a 25% chance of it resulting in a pregnancy, no matter how hard you have tried. That's why it often takes months of having sex at the right time.

My general advice is if you are having sex three times a week every week except your period, you know you are doing enough regardless of when you ovulate. Unfortunately it often just takes time.

Thanks for your advice, I always said id be calm and relaxed when ttc but I think I've gone a little crazy! One other strange question that I have heard on here before, is it true that you shouldn't have hot baths when ttc? I love my baths, but I'd be more than willing to give them up if it helps me get a BFP! X

I know hot baths for fellas can harm their swimmers...I'm not sure about ladies though?!

Baths are fine. They are fine when you are ttc and they are fine when you are pregnant. Have it a tiny bit less hot if you are worried. But really, baths are fine. You can carry on with your normal life as normal when you are ttc, assuming you have given up smoking, you are not consuming litres and litres of vodka and you are not using illegal drugs.

It only takes one little sperm to make a baby Laura! It just needs to all be timed right so if you had sex around ovulation time you can tell yourself you did enough. Smile
