Periods after miscarriage

Don't know if this is the right place to start this thread but what have your periods been like after a miscarriage? Thinking of trying again in a few months but my periods are irregular sometimes lasting two weeks. Once it did not come for 5-6 weeks (this was after my periods had returned after the miscarriage). Sometimes it stops and starts again a week later. Has this happened to anyone? Worried I may miscarry again they stay like this. Thanks.

I am so relieved you have posted Chickenrice! I am under the doctor because since my MC my periods have got steadily worse to the point now that my cycles are about 24 days and I am bleeding for about 16 days of it. I only stopped bleedig last week but have started again today. this will last for about 2 weeks plus then stop and start again after a week. I have had a scan and my womb is totally clear, so I have no idea what is causing it. Its almost like my body cannot hold on to any lining at all, as soon as it starts to build up, I start to shed it.
I would say go see your GP and maybe a scan would help, if only to put your mind at rest.

Oh BTW, my MC was beginning of August last year.

Coathanger, your periods sound pretty much like mine. What did the GP say was causing it? What has he/she recommended?

I know how tough it is when you've had such a difficult time. You just want things to return to normal but it is not happening. Hope you feel okay apart from these periods. I find it exhausting.
