Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

I need some hard truths about how tough it will be to conceive with these shitty fertility results?

I would like some candour please. I have a 3 year old DD. I've just turned 40. My periods, after always being 28 day regular as clockwise - have started arriving on day 25, or 26...and I just had my FSH levels checked twice (23.4, 17.1 two consecutive months) and my AMH levels came in at 0.1.

I'd love another baby but I suspect this means I've got a bat chance i hell?

What do people think?
And/or is menopause around the corner?

Thanks all
x

I think a text book answer would be that it will be v tough to conceive. The results indicate a lack of eggs...and the AMH result in particular, which unlike the FSH result is static/fixed, does suggest that you have a very very low ovarian reserve.

That said, what none of these tests ever show is the quality of the egg. And it only takes one egg...
