fertility after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage at the beginning of December and AF returned 2nd January. I have been bleeding since although only vey lightly for the last 5 days. This means I am now on Day 11 of AF. I have always been so regular in the past even following a previous miscarriage and 2 healthy pregnancies. Has anybody else had experience of this. I am so keen to try for another baby and am finding it so depressing that it won't just stop and let me get on with a normal cycle.

Sorry to hear of your loss wools, I would presume that your body is simply clearing itself give your body time to adjust back to normal. My first AF was different than pre-pg so give yourself time to heal. At least you know you have your cycle and your body is getting back to normal x I have read that some ladies cycles have changed after mc to hold in there. if you are ttc why not visit the ttc after miscarriage thread they are lovely ladies....when you are ready of course

sorry meant so hold in there not to hold in there.. my mc was nov last year and understand your worries.

i've had 2 miscarriages and each time my cycles were a bit screwed up afterwards.

sorry about your loss, hope you're OK

after my mc my first af was really messed up, i think it's your body cleaning itself out. i was so upset i got a contraceptive implant put in on day 5 of af. it was a big mistake. i had very bad af pains and the bleeding wasn't spotting but a perminent af. i had to start taking iron tablets and was put on the pill to try to sort the bleeding out, but it didn't work. finally had the implant taken out in november and we're trying again. good luck.

Wools - sorry your af is playing you up.

Don't know if you know I had a mc at the end of dec. Reading the lovely leaflet that they give you, it did confirm that there is no particular reason for your fertility to be affected. Also that the only (medical) reason you're told to wait to have an af before you start ttc is so that it make is easier to date age of baby.

Having said that - different angle completely - my af were all over the place after having ds2 and I had just completed investigations when I found out I was pg in Nov.

Good luck with ttc - might see you on that thread some time.

Jamiesam, I'm so sorry to hear about your m/c, thanks for sharing your experience. It's so annoying with AF as I just want to get on with it but that's life. MGP - will visit ttc after miscarriage thread - thanks

Ah, well, if you want to talk impatience after mc I'm your woman! Don't feel I'm going to deal with this until I get pg again. Took rather a long time last time, so I'm going to be pretty bloo*y impatient!
