Can your post-o temps be too high?

My chart this cycle is very erratic. I had a horrid bug leading up to ovulation, but still got three or four temps at a constant level after this, followed by a dip (normal for me on O day), and then two rising temps. My third was quite high for (98.6 with a cover of around 97.4). Since then (currently 10 dpo) my temps have gone up (to a max of 99.4!), down again (to below my coverline), then rising again (to 98.6) and then down again today to below my coverline again.

I'm fairly certain I O'd - had all the right pains and mucus, as well as the dip and the climbing temps after.

During maybe 3-6 dpo I had a cold: no fever and I didn't feel ill at all, just lots of snot (yum...), so I'm not sure that this would have affected my temps. Then yesterday (my high of 98.6) I had a sore throat and headache so possibly a slight bug.

My question is whether I need to worry about these high temps (and the gap between them and my pre-o temps)... All I can find is info on high temps throughout your cycle which doesn't apply. Is it irrelevant as long as they're higher than pre-o? Does it signify a progesterone issue?

This is my second cycle post-BF if that makes any difference: my temps in my first cycle didn't go as high.

Thanks

It sounds like it is just the illness messing with your temps.
