Hi all
Josie sorry to hear about BFN, but am very impressed that you're so positive and pleased that you've found a new clinic with new options, sounds promising!
cave who knows about ovulation, remind me - temps or OPK's? neither are very accurate from what I know?
Welcome lula
I'm CD1 and it all feels very pointless, I feel like I've almost given up hope really. Which is silly, but there you go. I'm now angry at my many super-fertile friends, every week there's another person pregnant within minutes. So jealous Envy I'm just fed up.

evilgiraffe · 18/04/2012 09:36

Josie - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the new clinic for you. It's mind-boggling, really, the number of things that can be done, so well done for finding somewhere to try something new!

Hello Lula - I can only echo Cave's thoughts and say how sorry I am for your loss, and hope that your stay here is a short one!

MrsMellow - I feel your pain. It's CD2 for me today and I'm feeling pretty crappy. Three friends gave birth over the weekend, one announced the birth of her son (we'd lost contact so didn't even know she was pregnant!), and another one announced a pregnancy last weekend. I'm happy for them all, but so desperately jealous at the same time.

To add to my woes, my previously-robust health has taken a hit, and I had a major allergic reaction to something (I have no idea what) over the Easter weekend. Turning blue is not to be reccommended! Now I'm taking crazy amounts of antihistamines and feeling dreadful (am barely functional at work). The next couple of weeks see me in the hospital twice - once for our infertility appointment, and once for the allergy clinic! Hopefully we'll be able to find out what's going on allergy-wise, and it'll not have too much of an impact on TTC...

mrsmellow · 18/04/2012 15:51

evil that sounds scary, anti-histamines are shit - I've been taking several times the normal dose for weeks because of urticaria and they leave you drained. Fingers crossed it was a once off. When is your infertility clinic? hope it goes well.

JosieSmith1 · 19/04/2012 08:46

Welcome Lulabells So sorry to hear about your dad

Sorry you?re feeling down MrsMellow I have been there on numerous occasions and it sucks. Send me a PM if you need a rant Smile and I hope you feel better soon. If there?s one thing I?ve learned through all this, is that no matter how bad you feel, at some point you will feel better. I?ve been at my absolute rock bottom over the past year and look at me now ? gearing up for my second IVF and really excited! Smile Who would have thought that being told I can have a second cycle would make me feel so positive Confused

Poor Evil are you feeling any better yet? I second MrsMellow antihistamines just don?t do the trick! Good luck at your appointments

AFM, got my referral off the GP yesterday. He was reluctant at first but DH gently persuaded him. My confidence has taken a little dive due to the BFN but my expression at DH must have just said ?persuade him!? so he did Grin So now all I can do is wait for an appt!

mrsmellow · 19/04/2012 12:12

thanks josie I wrote but didn't send a couple of ranting emails to my friends - made me feel a bit better! sometimes just getting it down on paper and getting the self-pity out really helps! and having support on the t'internet... Grin Good stuff out of your DH! Fingers crossed and

CaveMum · 20/04/2012 11:24

Ok, I'm very very confused. I have not had any positive OPKs, the CBFM did not give me any peak readings and I have not seen a shift in my temperature. However, I've just got my blood test results back from the clinic which say I have ovulated Confused

I am now in limbo as I have no idea when ov happened, no idea if we dtd at the right time and no idea if I am at the start/middle or end of TWW! Aarrgghhh!

Flickstar · 20/04/2012 11:32

Hello cave just saw this in most active and popped on to see what was going on! I have heard from lots of people including HH that CBFMs, OPKS and temping and are not accurate when using Clomid. If I was you I would do a test tomorrow morning just to see where the land lies and then if you get a BFN hold out another 5 or so days to see. Sods law that this will be the month Grin

CaveMum · 20/04/2012 12:18

Lovely to see you Flick Grin How is the small chap?!

The thing that has thrown me is that temping has worked for me all through my Clomid cycles so far, so I'm not sure what has gone on this time!

I probably will cave do a test over the weekend and see what happens from here on out.

Flickstar · 20/04/2012 13:05

Hmmmm bodies are a funny thing aren't they?! Regardless of the temping, the good news is that you have ovulated when you didn't think you had! I think a test over the weekend would at least settle your mind and let you know where you stand a bit more so your mind is not racing! Have been quite consistent with your SWI despite not knowing about your ovulation?

The little chap is well thanks- not quite so little though! Had a scan yesterday to measure his growth and he is 3lbs 2oz already with still 12 weeks to go so hee is rather on the chunky side!

Fingers crossed for you!

Ratata · 21/04/2012 15:52

Hi again all. I'm unfortunately returning to the thread. Not that I mind talking to you guys, it's nice to see what you are all up to. I'm currently going through a natural miscarriage this weekend, was a missed miscarriage. We went for a private scan when we thought I would be 9 weeks, I measured 5 and then had it confirmed this week and now I'm bleeding. Devastated but trying to push on through it.

Will catch up with everyone soon xxx

CaveMum · 22/04/2012 16:42

Ratata I'm so sorry to hear about your mc [hugs]

freerangelady · 22/04/2012 18:45

Hi Ladies,

I wonder if I can join you on here. Been trying to conveive #1 since I came off the pill in Nov 11. I've been using the CBFM and I'm 31.

Cycles seem to be pretty regular at 27-28 and CBFM has shown a peak every month around day 11 - 14 days but no joy yet. Due this week and this month I've been on antibiotics so on the advice of the doctor didn't try. Just want it to hurry up and come so we can get on with next month!

Looking forwards to getting you know you.

Freerange

CaveMum · 22/04/2012 20:03

Welcome Freerange Grin

freerangelady · 23/04/2012 15:44

Thanks Cavemum.

It's a bit quiet on here - is it always like this?

CaveMum · 23/04/2012 16:05

We seem to go in fits and starts - multiple posts some says, and none on others.
We've also had a few members graduate recently, so our numbers are down a bit!

HopingSoon · 23/04/2012 17:43

Hi Ladies, hope your all ok.
I only posted once a month or so ago but always check on the thread see how everyone is getting on.
Sorry to hear your news Ratata, hope your doing ok.
Just finished my third month on clomid and no joy for me, so made a drs appointment for Monday. Hoping that the dr will refer us to a fertility clinic like he said he would when we see him 3 months ago. I'm feeling very low today, really thought the clomid would do the job but once again a disappointing month. Think I'll treat myself to a G&T tonight to commiserate!

JosieSmith1 · 24/04/2012 09:32

Cave how confusing! I suppose all you can do now is wait and see, but I have my fingers crossed for you

Ratata I?m so sorry to hear your news

Welcome FreeRangeLady Smile

HopingSoon fingers crossed you can get your referral; at least then you?re moving forward

No news from me, still waiting for my first appointment. I phoned the dr this morning to ask and the referral has been done but it needs to be typed and sent off, but at least I know it?s on the way

evilgiraffe · 24/04/2012 11:23

Hugs, Ratata :(

Welcome, FreeRange!

We have our next infertility appointment on Thursday, I am feeling a bit sick every time I think about it. Hopefully they'll have looked at the results of the HSG, both ultrasounds, and all those mysterious blood tests, and will have found a useful answer! I suspect unless there's anything major wrong they're just going to put me on Clomid and hope for the best

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 24/04/2012 14:02

Ratata, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I had a mmc too - it hadn't progressed further than 5 weeks either, but I ended up having an ERPC on the day my 12-week scan should have been Sad. You're going to feel all sorts of emotions over the next few weeks, but I hope you get through it all ok and things happen as they should. Fingers crossed for you not having to wait too long for your next BFP

Cave, fingers are still crossed that the Clomid does the business for you! Smile

CaveMum · 25/04/2012 17:52

Hello all, still very quiet in here!

Well, still no AF to report here and the good news is I'm now in with a shot this cycle as I'm now within the right window to have possibly conceived. I'm going to wait for a few more days and if nothing test on Sunday when I'll be somewhere between 11 and 18 dpo.

Hope everyone is well Grin

PricklyPickle · 25/04/2012 18:04

I think you and I might be testing together Cave. AF is currently 2 days late and I'm never usually late, so if she doesn't show herself then I think I'll test on Sunday too.

We'll be pee buddies!

CaveMum · 25/04/2012 18:56

Ooo, fingers crossed for you Pickle Grin

I'm not very hopeful this cycle to be honest, but you never know!

PricklyPickle · 25/04/2012 22:06

I shouldn't be that hopeful either really, as I think we missed the egg boat this month, but maybe, just maybe...

sazzababs · 26/04/2012 00:12

Hey Everyone!
Unsure whether to join this thread or the Just Shagging one, but thought I'd come here and say hey :) Been noseying around the forum but I am a noob, so apologies if I get any net-rules wrong lol...

31, with Hubby for just over 10 years and married since last year. I have taken Microgynon 30 since around 1996/7 and have, for the last 10 years or so, taken it CONTINUOUSLY... I usually gave myself 2 AFs per year :O Like most of you ladies, I didn't really think too much about future fertility as I was desperate NOT to become pregnant while at uni, no job, health issues etc etc, but we have been having the baby-chat seriously for around a year now, so thought it best to stop the chemical bar! Uni is also done and dusted (for now!) and have a decent job with decent prospects...

Came off of Microgynon after New Year (Jan 2012) and pretty much went straight into cycles of 35 days then down to 30... Not using any 'ovulation watch' (POAS/Temps etc) as I am quite lazy that way and don't really want the stress to be honest! Been keeping tabs of cycles on an iShan app and may have gotten lucky this month time-wise, although I have 7 days now till blob-time should arrive so won't really POAS (PG stick) until around a fortnight's time! Think we're just going to see what happens (or not lol) for the next few months, if no joy we may get a wee bitty more militant about it :D I think the lazy way will mean less stress and since other half and I are total stress-monkeys, can only be beneficial XD

Nice to 'meet' y'all :)

CaveMum · 26/04/2012 08:03

Hello sazza, there's no rule that you can't join more than one thread -personally I frequent here and the BESH thread which is for women who are having problems conceiving. The only thing I'd say is that you need to be able to keep up with them all!

Either way, I hope your stay in Conception is as short as possible Wink
