Sorry in advance for TMI...
We are ttc & my cycle last month was 36 days. We had swi last Saturday...last night (a week after)..I noticed when I wiped (warned you) there was a bit of pink spotting. Today it has got a bit worse but it's 'slimy with blood' (sorry again...I am cringing writing this). Just not sure why this would be happening as AF isn't due til 28th (ish) & I only had AF 2 weeks ago.
Again...sorry for TMI. Any ideas?

Some women apparently get a bit of spotting around ovulation time.

Or is it possible you could have ovulated very early and this is implantation bleeding? How regular are your cycles?

wifey6 · 12/12/2011 13:00

They are regular...have history of dysfunctional uterine bleeding but that's been under control for a few months. I had achy pains yesterday at work.

Agree with last poster. Ignore everything till AF is actually late. At that point most tests will give a true result. I found boots tests reliable and cheap.

wifey6 · 16/12/2011 10:38

Ok...so all the bleeding etc has stopped..I just have stomach cramps now. They aren't painful..just niggly which is also making my back hurt. Sad
AF not due til 28th dec. Confused

having read up a lot on this because i've just had the same thing happen (from 28th Nov i had my first period since Ds was born 13 months ago, never had blood in mucus before) i came across a lot of articles suggesting that it is normal to get streaks of blood in cervical mucus around the time that you ovulate.

If your AF finished 2 weeks ago, then that would mean you were around day 14, prime average time for ovulation. I also had aches in my side, apparently a lot of women get ovulation pains. Was it egg white mucus??

Loooopy · 16/12/2011 22:49

(sorry correction, if AF started 2 weeks ago, on day 14?!)

Awayinamangercooper · 17/12/2011 00:12

Um so just approximately, CD1 was 22 November and today's about CD24 of a 36 day cycle? You SWI last Saturday 10 December which would have been about CD18. Then spotting with cramps a week later?

I have to say it sounds pretty good, but I doubt you'll get an accurate test result for another week or so.

wifey6 · 17/12/2011 07:03

loopy....yes it was clear with blood.
SWI was the 3rd November as I had ovulation symptoms the week after AF stopped. The same happened last month. I seem to ovulate early. Is that possible?

Oh sorry didn't spot that your OP was a week old. So this is not an "am I pg?" thread, more an "is this normal?" thread?

I'm confused! What date was the first day of bleed of your last period? Are you TTC? Are you sure of your OV dates?

wifey6 · 17/12/2011 20:10

22nd nov was the first day of last AF. We are ttc. I had ov symptoms from the 1st dec onwards. I'm confused too as when we were ttc our DS I never worried about all this.

Awayinamangercooper · 18/12/2011 11:52

I'm going to assume you meant you SWI on 3 December i.e. CD11.

Hmm... OV symptoms around the same time, cramps and spotting two weeks later - a bit late for implantation in most cases, but not impossible.

If you're TTC double check you're sure when you're OV; if you think you may be pg it's probably not too early to test. Otherwise don't worry. I've had blood streaked cm and Im still standing!
