But I thought,
As it is hard to wade through all the threads sometimes and you miss things, And it would be a nice place specially to put this as its the desired ends to the means :).
I'm not at that stage yet but Good Luck to All you ladies :)

ok so after TTC for 18 months I can finally put mine here :)

feelings - utter disbelief - didn't think it would ever happen, got so used to seeing a negative test I didn't think pg tests actually worked! I actually had 5 BFNs in the days before my BFP - I didn't get my BFP until 15DPO and got BFNs all the way up until then.

what worked this month? - I always ov on day 15 and we had sex days 10, 12, 14, 16, 17 - I chilled out a lot about the 2ww this month and went away and drank alot because I was fed up of preparing for something that didn't happen.

My consultant thinks it is the HSG test that does it - she says it clears out your tubes and she said she gets lots of ladies that fall pregnant within 3 months of having it. I had mine in September and fell in the October.

Who knows? I'm just so happy :)

fathers reactions?- he was away with work so I couldn't tell him until the next day - I told him by showing him the sticks one by one (I did 6) finishing off with the CB digital one and he cried, alot. We both did.

Good luck to you all and I hope you will be writing yours here soon!

Congratulations Impatient - that was a long wait. You must be over the moon Biscuitsandtea, who is around and about these threads, had the same experience. I think I will dash out and try a HSG then... Xmas Smile

iloveberries · 07/12/2011 13:00

what's an HSG??!

Pocket1 · 07/12/2011 20:44

Great idea difficulttimes and massive congratulations to you impatientwino...

i very much hope to join you here next week Xmas Wink

Impatientwino · 08/12/2011 09:27

thanks guys!

berries a HSG is an xray of your tubes - They put in some liquid through your tubes (via a tube up your vajay-jay) so they show up on an xray and they can see if they are blocked or anything. It's part of the standard set of fertlility tests that your doctor will order when you 'in the system' for infertility.

Apparently this process also gives your tubes a little 'flush out' so if there is any debris, gunk built up that may possibly not helping with implantation it can help things along!

Fingers crossed you don't end up needing it though eh?

iloveberries · 08/12/2011 10:00

aaaah, well congrats impatient - you definitely deserve it after 18months, hope everything goes well from here for you!

tobytoes · 09/12/2011 21:21

congrats toby, can't imagine what this year must have been like for you. x

Pocket1 · 12/12/2011 16:10

OMG, just got a BFP Grin

KnackeredCow · 13/12/2011 18:07

Congrats everyone who has got BFPs on this thread.

Toby this year must have been tough for you, but big congratulations on your BFP.

I'm delighted that I can finally add my BFP here too.

We started TTC in October 2009. Over two years later, I've had a fallopian tube removed and adhesions divided and was diagnosed with tubal infertility. It's been a tough journey. We've just completed our first round on IVF and I got a BFP today. Really faint this morning on an internet cheapie. Just cracked open the First Response and it's most definitely a BFP! I cannot believe it. I'm over the moon Xmas Grin

Biscuitsandtinsel · 14/12/2011 08:07

Congrats to all those with a BFP on here - Sounds like there have been some very tough journeys to get there so well done all round. Smile

Impatient - Beangrower is right - I did indeed get my BFP 19 mths in, the cycle after a HSG - so I can imagine you still can't quite believe it! I'm 25 weeks and still not quite sure I believe it!

PictureThis · 21/12/2011 17:31

After nearly 4 years of trying for #2, annovulatory cycles and suspected PCOS I got a BFP today and can't bloody believe it!!!!!! DH and I are grinning like Cheshire cats. My darling Mum who died in January knew how much we wanted #2 and told me she'd send me a good one so maybe this is her Christmas present to me. Either way it is a jolly good end to a year that started so full of grief and sadness.

Pocket1 · 22/12/2011 16:08

Congratulations picturethis such gorgeous news just before Christmas. x

duckey · 22/12/2011 16:53

Me me me! So pleased after 14 months of trying. This will be DC3 and now the last. Mind you I've had some crampy discomfort this afternoon and telling myself that it's just normal... Must be, right?

PictureThis · 22/12/2011 19:41

Yes, it's normal. I've had some too. I must stop peeing on sticks now....4 positive results can't be wrong Xmas Grin

PictureThis · 22/12/2011 19:44

Thank you Pocket and congratulations to you Duckey.

duckey · 22/12/2011 22:00

Thank you picturethis and congratulations too. Sorry about your mum.

Dp doesn't believe that the test is right (told him that a positive result is never wrong) so is off to tesco in the morning to buy another one. Only done one so far but danced around the kitchen although initial reaction was oh f* we've really done it now. Will have (hopefully) a newborn when the roof is off the house and we're in a caravan oops.

Archemedes · 11/03/2012 00:23

BFP!!! I did a CLB it says 1-2 weeks so very early days.

I have had my suspicions for a few days, I was due on today but i'm usally a few days early so I thought hmmm,

first test-wee'd on it too much and broke it Blush

2nd was a clear blue, and I was positive It would be a 'pregnant' when I saw 'pregnant 1-2 weeks' I couldn't believe it, its still surreal.

Archemedes · 11/03/2012 00:24

I have no idea what worked this month, maybe chilling out a bit?

He's well chuffed, :)
