Possibly silly EWCM question

hi, I'm taking Clomid and having EWCM for the first time ever so am taking that as a positive sign. But am a bit confused and dr google is giving conflicting information.

Sorry if tmi...I had abundant EWCM for about three days which peaked on about the third day. After that it started to tail off for another two days, still there but definitely less and less of it, by the last day only the tiniest bit when I, ahem, squeezed to go to the loo. So when in this timeframe is it likely I ovulated? I've read some stuff suggesting to work on the very last day you see it but that seemed to indicate it would be abundant then just stop. Seen other things suggesting it's normal to have a bit, but less, for a day or two after you Ov.

Would appreciate any advice and experiences, please?!

Based on my charting I would see ewcm a couple of days before I ovulated so I would think that yes you probably did.

Thanks faith, so when do you think Ov would have happened - when it was most abundant, when it had started to tail off, or even after it had all gone?

Hmm well I only get one or two glimpses myself so assume that is when I'm most fertile since the ewcm aides sperm motility. I'd say just after it tailed off. Basically you should aim to be dtd when the ewcm is evidence to be timing things right but I'm no expert

You can get EWCM after you have ovulated (I do). I'd say you probably ov'd on the 4th day, but the only way to know for sure is to chart (take your temp on waking each day). General advice is to have sex on each day you see EWCM though. :)

Thanks Lee. DH was away those few days so I think we probably missed the window this month which is massively annoying. We did try the night before I first spotted any EWCM which means probably 4 days from ovulation then. I know technically I could therefore get pg but it doesn't seem too likely.

Anyone got a nice positive story of getting pg only having had sex four days before ovulating? Please?!

There are loads of charts on FertilityFriend that show people who got pg SWI 4 days before ovulation, it does happen :)
