Anyone about to TTC after chemo?

Title says it all.

I had some chemo in October. All done, all cured, all healthy. Cancer (rare ovarian type) won't come back (is a very rare form) and it takes about 6 weeks to get out of my system apparently.

Am desperate to start TTC #2 (DD is 16m). Am about to have my first period after stopping the hormone treatment I was on during chemo (am charting and I definitely ovulated 13 days ago, and am cramping like crazy today...) so am pretty excited that everything seems to be working ok (I only have one ovary after my cancer treatment..).

Is anyone in the same boat? Am trying to be sensible about when to start TTC, but at the same time, I'd jump DH tonight if I were ovulating... Would be good to find someone (anyone?!) in the same boat.

Thanks

I'm not but I just want to say Grin well done for kicking cancer's arse! We lost my Mum to ovarian cancer so I just felt the need. There is one girl on the 'brook no argument/rat smacking' thread who is ttc after cancer. Maybe she'll come along.
All the best ttc :)

Thank you. So sorry about your Mum - it's a really really horrible disease. I was extremely blessed (if I can use that word about getting cancer) in both the type of cancer I developed (a very curable one) and the fact it was caught so early.

I'll keep a look out for her.

Thanks again. x
