Clomid confusion

Perhaps a wise Mumsnetter an solve this for me. I was prescribed clomid in July. During my first clomid cycle, I had a 21 day blood test to ascertain whether or not the clomid had worked by triggering ovulation. I wasnt pg so I started my next course of clomid and did conceive. Yesterday I received the results of that blood test done in July (went to wrong address, they got the right address for the bill though didnt they?!!!) and the results indicated that I had not ovulated that month and should increase my dose to 100mg. Obviously I didnt increase the dose because I didnt have the letter but I ovulated the following month anyway.

Soooo, my question is, can clomid take a month or two to kick in and begin to work or is my gyneacologist at fault?

And ... could this in anyway be connected to my miscarriage?

Hi Bunny, I read it can take 2 cycles to kick in defo, but by the 3rd if no ov then dose should be increased to 100mg. Also, the report said no connection between clomid and m/c. I certainly wouldn't have considered it otherwise. I will have alook for the rport. It's american but I found it useful. Lots of figures! HTHxxxxx
