Hi all,

I'm Susan, aged 34, new to mumsnet, in my first cycle of ttc (dc #3), day 26 BFN (but all 3 with faint white lines that turned up within timeframe - evaps???) and already toooootttttallly obsessive about this ttc lark!! Thought I needed people to chat to who wouldn't think I was mad (or at least wouldn't consider me any madder than they are themselves). So, erm, here I am! Hello! :-D

Anyone else ttc third child? DD2 is turning seven next week and I'm finding myself unbearably broody now she's growing up. I've felt like this for a year or so but dh has only just joined me. He was adamant that he didn't want anymore, then a few weeks ago he decided he'd actually like one and is finally onboard to try! Yay!

Hi Suze, I completely understand about this ttc lark! I had twin DD's with the help of IVF 7 years ago and spent the next 5 years ttc. Finally gave up and decided that 2 was plenty and would book DH in for the snip as I was approaching 40. October time things felt a bit strange and found I was pregnant :-)
Good luck with your ttc :-)

Suze on the Fertility Friend website there is a huge gallery of photos of very faint lines that you can peer at obsessively! Grin

Welcome!

Hi Suze, completely understand TTC obsession! I'm currently TTC #4 at the ripe old age of 38 (congrats Phunkie btw, and you've made me feel more hopeful as I can feel time's relentless march).

I have DD#1(just turned 13), DS(11), and DD#2(8) with exdh and have had 2 mc with DP.

I wasn't sure about having another baby till I met DP, 3 is such a good number, but DP and DC are all so keen that I gave in...and am now obsessively ttc again.

Hopefully we'll on be on here in January with good news...! Smile

Hi all,

Me and dh are just going to start ttc as we feel the time is right for us both.

I'm not a newbie but haven't been on here for a couple of years.

Our son Toby was born in 2004 so would have turned 7 in October. Sadly he is not with us anymore so it's been a hard few years since he passed away x

Im gonna try not to get obsessed with ttc but it's such a good site to chat with others and read all your posts x

Hi Suze :)

I'm TTC my second, he's just turned 8 and also finding it sooo difficult as he just seems so grown up. He is absolutely desperate for a little brother/sister and it's only been in the last wee while that our lives have settled down enough for this to happen.

I have no clue about the technical stuff Grin but really hope it all works out for you Smile x

Thank you all for your replies! :-)

Congratulations Phunkiephedora! I bet you were over the moon!

Awayinmanagercooper! Sounds like my kinda place! [grins]

Sorry to hear about your mc, Spellcheck. I wish you lots of luck for a healthy and happy pregnancy soon.

Jbadgirl, I'm so sorry to hear about Toby. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like to lose a child. I think you're very brave to ttc and risk your heart again. As they say "It's better to have loved and lost..." My best friend lost her little boy when he was just a few days old, and, despite the terrible pain of her grief, she is grateful for every minute they had with him and doesn't regret a thing. Her little boy's short life was filled with so much love, more than many people know even if they live to be 90. I'm sure the same is true of Toby and that any brother or sister he has will be a very loved and wanted child. I wish you and your dh lots of luck! :-)

Penguinpenguin, good luck - I hope it happens for you soon!

My white lines seem to have been evaps as haven't had any more of them, and the cramping in my legs suggests AF is on her way. Oh well. I didn't expect to be lucky enough to conceive first try anyway! LOL! Now I just want AF to hurry up and arrive then go again so we can get on with cycle two and SWI! [grins]

Good luck to all of you. It was really nice to meet you and I hope we get to share our TTC journeys and hopefully pregnancies too as the months roll on!

Best,

Suze
