Totally different periods after ovarian drilling and ectopic

Has anyone experienced a total change in heaviness and duration of bleeding, especially following a pregnancy loss or ovarian drilling?

I used to bleed quite heavily for at least a week. Since the drilling (July) and the ectopic (removed in late September), I've had two periods but they have scarcely lasted two days, and only really required tampax/pads for one.

It's so different from my previous experience that I'm not even sure if they count as periods! Could anyone reassure me, so I can have a better idea about whether my body is actually on some sort of cycle post-drilling/ectopic, or whether it's back to it's old random spotting tricks.
