TTC for DC2, DC1 was an accident with no planning involved.
I've never kept track of my periods before and have no idea when the best times to try are, how do I work out my ovulation dates?

Ooh it's all soo new and exciting!

Have a read of this which should help

www.babycentre.co.uk/preconception/activelytrying/ovulation/

you can buy ovulation tests (pee on a stick) which help you check when you are ovulating so you can get jiggy at the right time. good luck! x

There's a great book called Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It explains everything about your cycle, hormone levels, signs of impending ovulation, when there might be a problem etc. Its really informative and easy to follow, highly recommend

Oh I was going to suggest that book. The main thing I'd suggest is just try having sex three times a week every week. Don't get too Hung up on having sex around ovulation if you've only just started ttc.

How exciting! This website is free and it's excellent with animations to make what is a tricky subject really straight forward We use NFP which is free and once you've got the hang of how it all works means that you can plan to conceive or not conceive children without chemical or intrusions (as long as everything is healthy of course). I'm really glad I found it. Best of luck!
