Hi All,
I'm 41 and am looking for a reputable fertility clinic in London. I've checked out the HFEA website and the Lister seems to be coming out well. Today a nurse recommended a former colleague, Dr Rita Agrawal - she practices out of Fertility One2One on Harley street, but I can't find her on the HFEA website. We've been trying for 5 years (3 miscarriages) and am now desperate to find somewhere for a last shot at it. PLEASE HELP!x

We did 2 cycles at London Women's Clinic on Harley Street and even though we werent successful I thought the clinic was excellent. They're big and busy and you dont usually see the same staff, but they have expertise and resources and I felt in good hands.

Bad experience at the Harley Street Fertility Centre before that.

If you've experienced recurrent miscarriages though, I would specifically search for someone with expertise in that. I cant help with a recommendation but I'm sure someone will be along soon. Very good luck!

Hi Vermont So sorry to hear about the troubles you've had. i'm not in the same boat exactly but as Mojangles suggests you're best finding someone who specialises in miscarriages (I'm sure that a friend of mine had success with the fertility unit at St Thomas' after several miscarraiges - although i can't remember the Dr's name, sorry). in terms of fertility clinics with good reputations as a starting point, i understand that the Lister is very good. I also hear good things about ARGC. i'm with Harley Street Fertility Clinic (the one on Devonshire Street not the other one) and they've been great for me. i got a shortlist, phoned a few clinics (didn't matter that i didn't really know what i was asking as you soon find who are the helpful places), you should get a vibe for a place you want to deal with and dont be afraid to ask about prices. Very best of luck to you.

Thanks Mojangles and Pocket1. Good suggestions to ask about miscarriage specialists. I went through a pretty superficial investigation at the Royal Free with their Recurrent miscarriage unit, only to be faced with lost results, long waiting lists and a very insensitive registrar (her name was Dr Win, for the record!). Apparently nothing jumped out at them - but bearing in mind what mess the process was, it wouldn't surprise me if they'd missed somethign. I've done a bit of research on the ARGC, but am a little concerned about their rep. Hey ho. Off to the Lister tomorrow. Will report back! Thanks for taking the time to advise. All the Best x
