Scooter I go to a salon called Saco v close to the Charlotte St Hotel. I see Anna for colouring. I've been going there for years first for cutting and now for cutting and colouring.

Warning: it is no way cheap but I find it very good.

PQ at your friend. Some people do come out with the most astonishing comments. Some people are also so self absorbed that it doesn't even occur to them that they may have upset you. I had a moan on here about a friend a while back who spent the most part of a Skype conversation complaining to me about the fact that she no longer had a social life and that her figure had gone downhill because of having kids. All this was when she wasn't banging on about how amazing and wonderful and funny and cute blah blah....her baby daughter was. She knew about all of my losses too.

iggi, do you think it's worth taking your doppler with you to your next scan and asking them to show you the optimal technique for finding the heartbeat?

I'm awake phhh steroids! Thinking about those early scans today. Everything crossed for u ladies. Hope we have some positive news. BFN 11dpo. Hungry. Anyone else awake?

Lots more brown yuck for me this morning (sorry TMI!), seems such a waste of time and money going for the scan on Wed. Oh well, onwards and upwards.

Ari - so sorry you are still getting blood :(, it is impossible not to worry I know, but everything could be fine still. Are you sure you don't want to try your local EPU to put your mind at rest?

I think it was yo that asked, I am in my 2nd trimester, seems so unreal. I am still stressing as I don't feel pregnant like I did in the early days but DH keeping me on straight and narrow :) Apparently this is normal for 13 wks? Iggi how are you feeling?

Dread to think what time I woke up it was certainly 4.something. DH got up to go to the loo even more times than me during the night which didn't help nor did him getting in at 1am. Sat here eating breakfast in dire need of something to wake me up. What's that you say? Try popping 40mg Pred and see if that helps... Oh go on then

Thanks for the positive scan wishes. I've got that feeling in my guts before a big exam or event where you feel totally unprepared but know its too late to do anything about it [terrified emoticon]

ari sorry to hear that, fingers crossed it tails off and that's the last of the spring cleaning but know how hard it is to stay hopeful and to concentrate on anything else. Just to say really thinking of you today.

Also woke up early today, third day on 35mg for me this morning. Weaning seems desperately slow, worked out I won't be steroid free til after Christmas.

duggs did you ever get back to sleep, is the weekend after all. Hope so!

Been thinking a lot about Tuesday, had a dream Gareth Malone turned up and we started a choir. Hope that will bring some smiles this morning!

We're doing decorations next weekend, but sitting here listening to The Best Christmas Album In The World Ever ... who couldn't feel Christmassy listening to a 4 year old singing along to I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day .. for the fourth time! Will start wrapping pressies tonight, I'm determined not to have the usual Crimbo Eve mad rush this year!

scooter LOL The Pred Thread Choir, there's a thought!

Thanks Scooter, I'm in at 10.40. To help my sanity this morning had a slightly discoloured wipe a little while ago. Now, I had a vv busy day yesterday and didn't do 2 cyclogest for the first time since I started spotting. I hope beyond hope it's just a little bit that's been dislodged by the running around. It wasn't "solid" brown gunk even iykwim. I'm feeling so tense, who knows how high my bp is, I can't work out if I feel crampy or not. This is stupid I know but at least the discolour happened today not tomorrow after scan.

Oh bless you choccy that's all you need! Not long to wait til the scan now and you should be able to talk to someone there about it. The EP midwife I saw before the sonographer was very emphatic about the aspirin making any spotting I quote 'more spectacular' than usual so I think it is definitely more common on the treatment. I knew at my scan that in my case it was already way too 'spectacular' but if I'd been having spotting/brown I would have found that really reassuring to hear. Also taking two cyclogest might be causing a little wear and tear there. Big pre-scan wait hugs, drink lots of water and a milky way in the waiting room usually gives you something not too taxing to focus on. I found it really helpful to know all the pred threaders were rooting for me so I hope you and free do too!

Just a quckie from the car. Legged it out of there. Still has a heartbeat and measuring to date. Next appt for scan on 13th and, presuming things are still ok in there, intralipids on the same day. Says he is cautiously optimistic.

choccy and ari sorry to hear of the spotting. I have also had a small amount first thing this morning. Seems to have cleared up for now. I think in my case it may have been to do with taking a very long walk yesterday. I did this last week and had a bit if spitting the next day too. I wonder if, like women who live together end up menstruating at the same time, we have a similar sort of synch thing going on with our spotting and cocoon-beach-house set up.

choccy hope scan has gone well

I'm leaving my decorations til next weekend, but might start work on my Christmas cards this afternoon.

Am boiling some tins of condensed milk for a banoffee pie. Hoping it's not going to explode all over the kitchen, or I will be licking the ceiling all week.

Choccypud wanted me to let all you guys know as she knew you'd all be wondering and worrying. Your help and support has been invaluable in these weeks and I'm sure we will get positive news one day to share with you all.

Unfortunately I can't get stuck into the wine until Mr S has called this eve with blood test results which will hopefully indicate its all gone and isn't an ectopic which is the remaining query. I'm just numb. The poor nurse had a nightmare getting blood as I'd gone into shock and closed down. It just feels so bloody unfair. Oddly I now hope the bleeding last week DID take it away. I just hope its not ectopic and we can move on. Although knowing my luck...

Delighted for free though- it's great that one of us who got bfp's that day is looking definitely on track at the mo.

choccy I am totally totally gutted for you. It is so unfair. It was only four days ago for me and all I can say is I feel your pain, it is so so heartbreaking, you must be in pieces. Hope you get those results soon and they can rule out an ectopic, you've had all the bad news you can take for one day. Lots of love coming your way.
