Pre and post pill cycle changes

Has anyone noticed a change in their cycle before and after using the pill?

Pre pill, I had cycle roughly between 26 - 28 days (with the odd longer one, probably when I was stressed, but back then I wasn't paying attention).
Then I was on the pill for a year, and my cycles have been all over the place.
30, 33, 30, 24, 33, 32, 31, 29, 32, 27, 26. I'm pretty sure I've ovulated for almost every cycle.

Has anyone else found they had slightly longer (irregular) CLs post pill, which only returned to the shorter pre pill CL about a year later?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I went on the pill at 15, but I do remember my periods being every 28 days. I came off the pill at Christmas and I have had a similar pattern to you- and I also think I have ovulated every month too. Not sure what the answer is- surely it should not take this long to get the pill out of your system!

At 15 my periods were HEAVY. Ten years on the pill + a year of depo + a year of no period + three years off + one year on the pill again and they are a shadow of their former selves. They never returned to how they were before the 10 year pill stint. Not remotely. But the timing is now similar, it wasn't for at least a year afterwards. But maybe they were too heavy in the first place? Or maybe I'm just older?

Me too - v similar to OP. They have also been getting gradually lighter, and to use the "Euro Scale" discussed in the "TTC for 10+ months" thread, I'm now into "light", or less on my heaviest 2 days, with absolutely nothing at night. I can't believe this is me just re-regulating after the pill, not a year later.

Have you TTC, and if so any problems or BFPs? I'm about to start, and have already convinced myself its not going to happen. I'm 29 and worried I'm going through early menopause. It would be great to hear if there is anyone out there with irregular shortening, lightening periods who has managed to easily get a BFP.

Well I've been ttc for a year now and no luck, all tests fine. I do worry about my light periods but 2 friends have had this and conceived no problem. Ultra sounds show my lining to be a good thickness so what gives?! Good luck to you. Acu did make my period considerably heavier this month.

My periods were extremely heavy when I was young and became somewhat (although not significantly) lighter when I went on the pill. Oddly, when I finally went off the pill a few years ago my periods were lighter and more regular than they had ever been while I was taking it (although it took about 6 months for it to get that way).
