hi me and my DH are TTC for first time and wondering will I have similar cravings and take same time as my mother to conceive???

Not necessarily! Every woman and every pregnancy is different! You might have no cravings at all!! :)

My mum conceived within one month with my sister and two months for me. I've been ttc 23 months :(
There's a huge variety of factors. Just go with the flow and see what happens.

Don't think so - my mum tried for three years to have me, then had v straightforward pregnancy and birth, thentried for years after me but had no more children :( I conceived much more quickly, have two children but absolutely nightmare pregnancies. Don't think there's any comparison at all in most cases.

Not in my experience. Remember conception is a 2 way thing so your mother's input was 50% and 50% depended on your father, your input is 50% and 50% is your partner. Then you are genetically different to your mother and your baby will be different again!

I think there are some mother/daughter traits, particularly if you're very like your mother in any way (my mother and I both have a funny shaped pelvis), but I wouldn't say conception is one of them!

Sadly not, my mother got pregnant straight away twice, and another time without meaning too! I've been ttc for ages now. She also had no morning sickness, unlike my aunt who had terrible morning sickness and several miscarriages. So I think everyone is individual...

Not so far. My mum conceived v easily (in fact I was "timed to order"!), I've had 6 months no joy so far...

Oh I really hope not! My Mum (& Dad) took 8 years to get me, and I was only conceived after they were told to give up, so they booked a holiday to Canada (very exotic and expensive in the 70s) and when they came home my mum didn't feel very well....
