Hello! I got AF again, 10 days after bleeding so I guess that was ovulation bleed (only lasted 2 days) and this is proper AF? In which case, SWI next weekend woo hoo! I've amended my place on the list

Hello ladies,

I'm not testing till 8th Dec (One day after my longest cycle) but may already be a week or more overdue as my cycles are irregular.

Feeling nauseous, noticing smells more strongly, peeing a lot (though I also think feeling sick is making me drink more, so it mightn't mean anything). My emotions are going all over the place. Though we've been trying for nearly 6 years, I didn't really expect to get pregnant now. I'm also worrying about the practicalities of a baby and being pregnant. Thought I had time to prepare. But yesterday I was elated at the thought I might be.

I want to be pregnant, I really do, but it would be much better if I could choose to get pregnant in 3-6months time! But it doesn't work like that. I'm also feeling guilty for getting DH's (and mine) hopes up.

I know... mustn't stress...
I don't want to test because I don't think I'm ready for a definitive answer yet. But we bought tests yesterday.

Well, we started trying nearly six years ago, and (because its such a long time) sometimes we have been more active about taking temperatures, monitoring things etc, and at other times we haven't, and have tried to concentrate on other things but have still allowed the possibility.

This year we have been monitoring and I've been losing weight to try and increase our chances. I've lost 6 stone, but I still have more to go before getting down to where I should be.

Of course we want a baby. I just didn't expect one (without help) any more. In my mind, I planned to wait another three to six months (to get my body in better shape, to build up a bit of a financial cushion etc.) before going back to the doctor and asking for further fertility tests etc.

I think my anxieties are hormonal (either AF or Preg). It's something to be imagining starting a family for so long. Quite another to realise it might actually happen and that I have to get ready for it now! ... see there's my hopes going up again.

I don't like POAS, reminds me too much of the disappointments when we first started trying... because of the irregular cycle, I'd rather wait till I know my AF is late. I'll think about it though.

Of course we will be very happy if I am pregnant, we'll just have to get ourselves and the home ready for a LO quick!

I think it's the disappointment of having problems getting pregnant, you spend so long consoling yourself with 'It's sad that this month wasn't the month, but it does give me a bit more time to prepare/get fitter/learn more/earn more...' that the idea of not having more time to make everything 'perfect' for a family is quite anxious-making!

I'm sure we'll manage should the happy event arise!

secret 34 days feels like a long old cycle doesn't it. Mine was like that the first month I came off pill and the wait seems interminable. At least if you're regular you know what's going on and what to do when.

wolf I am sure if you are pregnant you will cope just fine and you still have nine months remember! Plus, there's nothing to say you can't keep up your healthy eating/exercising when pregnant, will probably make the birth and looking after the little one when it comes along that much easier.

But I agree in that it's better to wait until AF is late (although obviously I have ignored this advice previously) however, I am a bit more relaxed about it this month and have been filling up the diary to keep myself busy.

I've even been to church! OK, it was a carol session but I was still there.

AF showed up yesterday :(

AF is busy - turned up today .

Another couple of cycles and at least our wedding/baby dilemma will solve itself!

Are you taking your temperature every day? I've just joined fertility friend but I'm finding it really complicated. It seems that without taking my temperature, the automatic cycle updater thingy doesn't want to tell me when I've actually ovulated.

The downside of being a bang on regular 28-dayer is that OV is set for a Weds/Thurs every month for as long as I could be bothered to calculate. And I don't see DP between Tues and Fri. Great. At this rate I'm NEVER going to get pg!

My cycle has also managed to time itself so that every school holiday for the next few months I am either in the 2ww or on AF. Bah!

Evening all!

I got the fertility friend app on my phone and it tells me my fertile days are Sunday to Tuesday this month! Which would be great if true, but I don't get why its different to the online one, which said Weds/Thurs?

Anyway as Sun-Tues suits me perfectly I've decided I'm believing the app, not the online planner, and am feeling a bit more optimistic!

Evening all. I attempted to use fertility friend but found the whole thing quite bemusing, it's not very user friendly, and I'm a bloody web editor!

Anyway, I have a stupid question and it's one of those you know the answer to really but if you think about it too much you start doubting yourself....

So I came on on day 29 last month but does that actually mean I have a 28 day cycle or a 29 day cycle? I think it's 28 but now I keep doubting myself, any help for the girl not paying attention at the back of the class?

Do you mean a high temperature Sparkle? I'm a bit confused (again!)

I started taking my temperature yesterday. I'm not exactly obssessed with ttc (much!) but its funny I'm really anal about charts. So, as fertility friend has a section for your temperature, I simply have to know mine so I can fill it in!
