It's kind of easier to make it fun and actually enjoyable then - obviously it's enjoyable but seriously, I don't think I've had this much sex since I discovered it back in the days of old.

Well, I'm afraid I am letting the team down, I am totally having a drink. If I live like a saint I'm afraid it's too much pressure and I got preggars once when I believe I was mainlining vodka so am being pretty relaxed on that front at mo. You wait, next year I'll be militant abstainer and persuading making fella do the same.

Due on today, but no sign as of yet... watch this space, will no doubt hit return to post and AF will arrive. Ol' cowbag.

Thanks for the advice re not telling DH about OV. I will have to get my seductress mojo going if no joy this month.
Isn't it weird how cramps, discharge, spots, sore boobs and mood swings suddenly become something to look forward to?

Also cup although I am too fat already for anyone to get suspicious about me looking PG, I do get sick of the raised eyebrows whenever I refuse a drink or have minor stomach upset. Like you say: If I want you to know, I WILL TELL YOU!! I guess people just want to get excited for us and have some cheery news..

I'm catsitting for a friend today and it's really helping with the broodiness. They are supercute. One of them keeps trying to write a post on MN. I think she's trying to say "FEED ME!"

Morning all.

I'm in a tangle with fertility friend again at the moment. I got a plus on my opk on Tues, even though temp has been mostly plummeting all week. FF is still telling me I'm fertile though? I thought in theory that I was fertile for 3 days, then ov'd (ie got a plus on my opk)? At the moment its showing not fertile for Monday, a positive opk and fertile on Tues, then fertile on Weds and Thurs. It can't be going by my temperature, so what's going on? .

Can someone please help me to understand?? Thanks x

I am off the pill this month and starting to chart and do my temps- all very new and scary after 13 yrs of the pill. Scared my body has forgotten what to do.

Hubbie agreed to start TTC end of the year but im pushing it to mid year as he has made me wait 1.5yrs already so im stamping my feet in frustration already.....

Hope to jump to front of the bus come July - fingers crossed assuming my body remembers to do what its supposed to!! We shall see!

Been to docs this morning, and asked about spotting from Sunday, unusual, she said it could have been a near miss or just adjustment from coming off the pill. Anyhoo, I have to have smear :0( got a hand slap for not having one since 2006!! Ekkk!

Hello freckly, nice to meet you and good luck! I read recently somewhere hereabouts that coming off the pill actually raises your fertility for the first couple of months after you stop taking it, so get going, girl!

Hello ginlady, I am currently obsessing/ obsessively symptom spotting. I'm being really bad at staying rational/realistic, so if AF turns up next week, it's going to be SOOO disappointing.

Me too moll, I am driving myself nuts trying to work out my OV day.

Because of the PCOS I cant work it out with an OV calculator, my cycles vary in length, currently on day 35 of this cycle!! I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up but I think each little twinge etc is an early symptom. Oh the frustration!!!

I know I should be keeping calm and not stressing but its sooo bloody difficult.

I know how you feel moll , last time I had convinced myself this was it, even thought I had early symptoms similar to last pregnancy, I actually cried when AF came!!

Good luck to you. Maybe theres a dance we can do to keep AF at bay!! I'm wiiling to try anything at this stage!!

Welcome gin and freckly - good plan coming off your pill early Freckly as my body is certainly trying to find it's feet again after years on cilest. arggh.

Hey minky I've had some spotting too but I think it must be same as you in coming off the pill. Which is annoying.

Am still waiting for full on period - was due wednesday going by last months' cycle which was 28 days but before that was 34 days and had tiny spotting last night. so figured it's just my body playing silly buggers and I did do a test on day 28 in afternoon and it was BFN so not expecting any Christmas miracles here. bah humbug.

I am totally up for an anti AF dance! I'm getting jiggy with the paintbrushes as I write.. (living in building site, just because I like life to be a challenge) I might start painting little blue lines all over the wall as a sort of bfp charm.

Went to the doc myself this wkend, had a scan and check up- was shown my wrinkled up ovaries which havent been used in 13 yrs, got a lecture from the doc for that. ha.

She actually said to not try and conceieve in the these next few months as my ovaries will be going mad, trying to get back into action, so ive more chance of having multiple births, also im a twin myself so even higher chance... unless thats what i want!! Ha, one way to go head first into parenthood!!

So, i can have lots of wine this xmas while my ovaries remember what to do :)

Hello all

We've been trying for our second for about 6mo, took us a looong time with DS (now 14mo). I have PCOS and my cycle is all over the place (21 days in October, 32 in November!). Got a bit stressed with counting (impossible really!) and worrying for a while so for now we are just contraceptive free and seeing what happens. Would really like to conceive in the first few months of next year, so we may have to get focussed and organised (sounds like a powerpoint presentation or summat, how romantic!) again in the new year. I think we'll try charting for a while. We were starting to talk IVF with my OBGYN when we conceived DS, so, we'll see. Good luck to all in making some sept/oct 2012 babies!

How do you take your mind off it ? iyswim

I dont like thinking about it continously iyswim. want it to be an enjoyable thing not an obsession

any tips will be gladly recieved.

I'm quite scared it will take a long time, still taking my folic acid.

Arggh sorry ladies I am well and truly out this month. AF came last night on CD33 just to get my hopes up. Was a 28 day cycle last month so was tentatively hoping all that SWI had actually done the job and really wanted to be pregnant for xmas/my 30th next month. Ah well. Here we go again... am updating, feels like going to the bottom of the class.

Welcome difficult, I don't think there's any way of not thinking about it a lot other than keeping super busy, I have found a really good book does distract me a lot mind.

Everyone on my facebook seems to be pregnant grrrrr lol I may hide them.

I have a question! I've been looking at the ovulation calculator on here and it asks 'How long is your luteal phase". Surely if I knew that, I would know when I ovulate and wouldn't need the calculator? Am I missing something?
