ttc after miscarriage, when to test??

6 weeks from start of miscarriage and have been ttc for 4 (got neg preg test), no af so dont know if i have ovulated or not. At what stage would you start to do pregnancy tests? af will prob arrive this week and then all will be fine but am just worried about conceiving and not knowing dates etc, also if i dont fall pg but af doesnt arrive, how long do people leave it before they see gp? I know its early days but all these questions are whirling round in my head, any advice please?

I'm sorry to hear about your previous mc. I also had one in early summer and while I can't give any advice on when to test, I understand the anxiety you must be feeling. If it was me I might wait for a week (if I could muster up an iron will!) because I think I'd rather not know until I had to know (IYKWIM).
My only suggestion is just to do what puts your mind at rest. If waiting drives you nuts, maybe test earlier. I'm not much help am I?
