Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

We are all jolly well going to smack the rat this month and grow a baby and we'll brook no argument. And probably eat some cake too.

Farfalla have a lovely time making babies!

Maybe you have my sympathies re your experiement. A l-o-o-o-o-ng time ago I was a lab scientist and had to work long days doing growth curves on bacterial cultures. Your boss sounds an absolute arse.

Scrambled I'm glad your DH has agreed to some tests. Hopefully everything will be hunky dory, but it's good to check. I had a retained placenta too. At the time they said it was placenta accreta, but drs have since said perhaps it wasn't and I'm inclined to agree having read more about it. Anyway, I too have worried that the repeated surgeries I have had (manual removal of placenta and two ERPCs) may have caused some damage. According to the my latest ultrasound all is fine, but one does worry.

Raspberry get well soon.

PopcornMouse · 18/11/2011 10:18

Have a lovely time! Forget all about ttc, and enjoy having some downtime together :)

Stasi, I'm really sorry AF turned up - brooking super hard that this will be your month!

Smegs I think private tests are a wonderful idea, even if the only thing it results in is peace of mind :)

Raspberry so sorry you're still ill! Rest up, take it as easy as you can - the weekend's here so plenty of time before you've to worry about going back now.

Loving all the photos! Imps you look mega way younger than I thought you were! What's your secret? :o

DH went out with some friends last night. All evening I was getting increasingly drunken texts saying how wonderful I am, and how great we are together, as apparently his friends are all going through very messy divorces and were getting dodgy text messages from their exes all night :o

Temp's up today, as it should be post-ov. Back to nearly-positive-but-not OPKs last night, so hopefully all is working as it should........ I am curious to see if I still get AF Tuesday or if my usual (13 day) luteal phase stays the same and it's pushed back to the following week... Hmm

Biscuitsandtea · 18/11/2011 10:18

Far have a good holiday and shagathon. Look forward to your BFP on your return.

BeedleTheBard · 18/11/2011 10:19

Boo hiss at AF stasi I was sure you were going to surprise us with a honeymoon baby

And another big boo hiss for your AF smegs

Have a lovely holiday far hope to see you looking all tanned and pregnant when you come back Grin

Waves to everyone else cos I've forgotten what I'd read Blush

Now does anyone happen to have a wet fish they can slap me with? I'm only about 5dpo but I've been feeling a bit AF crampy all morning - now clearly its far too early for such symptons so I need to stop thinking imagining that its implantation cramps or something.

PopcornMouse · 18/11/2011 10:19

...and my CM has dried up, for those that were horrified by it interested :o

Imps7 · 18/11/2011 10:25

Oh Popcorn how nice of you to say Blush - I drink a lot of water, eat a lot of fruit and veg etc. I still get asked for ID sometimes when buying booze - not what you'd expect at 31! So pleased to hear about your lack of EWCM - that egg has popped fo' shizzle.

Generic, it must be so tough with nagging worries at the back of your mind. This horrible TTC process is stressful enough as it is with previous procedures to cast doubt on stuff. However, if the scans have said that all is fine then all is fine - you mark my words.

ScrambledSmegs · 18/11/2011 10:34

Sorry, meant far! Ruddy AF brain. Had a bad night, full of nightmares. Does anyone else get bad dreams with AF, or is it just lil' ol' weirdo me?

So, Popcorn, we just have to wait a couple of weeks for your BFP now, right? :)

Solars · 18/11/2011 10:39

Stasi & Scrambled I'm so sorry that nasty lady witch af has got you! And what a lovely OH you have Scrambled

Generic I have everything crossed for you for next wednesday and I really hope you can get those niggling worries out of your head x

Farfalla have a super fab holiday, can't wait for you to be back and confirm your bfp! Clomid is going ok, the only side effects I think i'm getting are hot flashes at night, i'm 50mg at the moment but consultant has said that if still no bfp by the 2nd month then to go up to 100mg But of course i'll have my bfp this month!

I'm loving all the photos and nobody is at all how i'd imagined them to be. Mine are up for one day only!

Solars · 18/11/2011 10:46

Scrambled I usually get bad dreams in my 2ww.

Imps7 · 18/11/2011 10:48

Solars you're stunning!!!

OP posts:
Solars · 18/11/2011 11:04

You are too kind Imps, by the way was it you who mentioned adoption? DH and I have often talked about adopting whether we have our own or not and now that we are permanently rooted I think it may be something we will look into more seriously now.

Solars · 18/11/2011 11:06

sorry the too was meant to be too Blush

SweetieDoesIt · 18/11/2011 11:16

I think I have finally managed to get my profile on!!! Blush

GenericDietCola · 18/11/2011 11:16

Solars you are gorgeous and I cannot believe you are 39!!

Popcorn I am glad that egg has finally been laid. It's bound to be an egg-stra good one since it took so long popping out (ho ho!).

GenericDietCola · 18/11/2011 11:19

OK, I've put a photo up!

possiblemaybebaby · 18/11/2011 11:20

Wowza Solars you are soooo pretty!!

I wrote a post earlier but it has disappeared. It was along the lines of what pie was in Imps; photos, and how lovely it is to put faces to names, and poor Generic for having to play with bacteria, and good about Popcorn's lack of CM. But it was far more eloquent than my above ramble Blush

Oh, and how I meant to wave to Far, not Imps and so decided to wave to everyone to cover it up.

The nightmare puppy has just fallen asleep for the first time today. Feet up, knitting and tea me thinks.

possiblemaybebaby · 18/11/2011 11:22

Sweetie gorgeous photos, lovely wedding dress Smile

And Generic lovely photo too, DD gorgeous!

GenericDietCola · 18/11/2011 11:26

Sweetie lovely photos - I like your dress too! You are a newlywed! (did we know this?)

GenericDietCola · 18/11/2011 11:28

Just put another pic of DD on there so you can see her better

CupcakesAndCocktails · 18/11/2011 11:33

Morning

Sorry about AF Stasi and Scrambled here is to day 1 of your pregnancies!
Scrambled I think that's a great idea to get yourself checked out as even if they just put your mind at ease it will be worth it.

Far am so excited for you and DH. Have an amazing time, lots of sex and we will see you and your BFP in a few weeks Grin

Popcorn glad to hear the temps and OPKs are now less confusing. Hope we can keep you sane over the next week or so with your potential 3ww.

Have managed to look at Solars and Imps pictures. Absolutely gorgeous ladies Wink. Scrambled your DD is so so cute, I love her chubby cheeks!

Thanks for admiring my doggy, I am so ridiculously proud of her Blush I'm sure ill be unbearable when I have a baby to talk about!

Maybe I hope Otis is not being too naughty. My dog is pretty good overall these days but many a time I have cried in frustration namely when she managed to eat my new hat & scarf that I hadn't even worn It will get better as he gets older.

I will try to put a picture of me up after my breakfast. I will prob take my pics down in a few days as I work with nearly all women and I suspect a few are on here. Generic I live in Manchester. Whereabouts are you?

I'm also quite up for adoption/fostering. I would like to experience pregnancy if possible but I think I could genuinely love an adopted DC. I've always thought we would foster when our own kids are a bit older (once we are experienced parents). I would be keen to maybe look after children with special needs/medical problems as I know it is difficult to find placements for them.

Sorry for the epic post!

GenericDietCola · 18/11/2011 11:35

Cupcakes I'm just outside Manchester too!

possiblemaybebaby · 18/11/2011 11:39

Thanks for the reassurance Cupcakes when he is not being a loony, he is so lovely. It's the constant biting that's getting us down, but we can start training next week, and we are off to Nottingham on Sunday for a walk with his breeders and lots of other Eurasiers, so we will get lots of advice Smile

Generic, too cute. You are rightfully a very proud mum Smile

CupcakesAndCocktails · 18/11/2011 11:39

Generic you also have a little cutie pie! You'll probably be pleased to know I don't recognise you!! I live probably closer to Bury than Manchester but we are on the tram line so I can still live the city lifestyle by going for drinks in town once a month
Sweetie have not been able to look at your pics. Will try again later

Solars · 18/11/2011 11:40

Generic you and DD are gorgeous and yes sometimes I don't believe i'm 39 too, don't know where time has flown off too and still no baby :(

Sweetie that is a stunning dress and lovely photos too and congratulations!

thank you Maybe Blush I'll be joining you for that tea me thinks, it's that time of the day!
