Coming off Cerazette, period disappeared!

I'm very confused and wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience... I was on Cerazette for about 10 weeks, half way through my third pack I decided to stop as I was getting big spots on the back of my neck! Anyway, I stopped and had a normal period about a week or so later. The doctor had prescribed me another mini pill which I was supposed to start taking on the day of my next period, I forgot and decided to wait until my next one. Well, it just hasn't arrived! It's been 5 weeks now and still no sign, I have taken 2 pregnancy tests which were both BFN. I haven't been completely safe when having sex as I wouldn't mind having another baby. But surely if both tests were negative, I can't be pregnant? Is this just my body readjusting itself?

It might be!! I was on Cerazette for 4 years and it took 11 months for my period to return, my body is still not back to normal yet!! I would have assumed that after 5 weeks of a missing period a test would show positive; you just never know though!!! Remember that your body has been fooled into thinking it was pg for 10 weeks, so it might just need a little more time to kick back in!!! :)

I think it is reasonably normal with Cerazette, ime.

I was on Cerazette for about 4 years and at one point had a 6 month break (for unrelated reason - nothing to do with ttc). I had a period initially, then nothing for the whole 6 months, apart from occasional spotting.

This time, I came off it and had an initial period, then nothing for 6 1/2 weeks or something like that. Next time it was 5 weeks til AF came, next time 4 1/2......... it eventually worked itself back to a regular 31 day cycle.

Innnn connnclusion :o I think it's normal and nothing to worry about, and if both tests are negative it's unlikely you're upduffed.

I was on Cerazette for less than 2 years and have had trouble getting back into a normal cycle since coming off in summer. It took 3 months to get first AF, then 25 days and a 29 day cycle. I did go to the Drs about it and they just said it can take up to a year for things to settle down.

I did quite a few tests during the 3 months of nothing as I had all the classic pregnancy symptoms, apparently this is also quite common as your body gets back to normal.

Thanks, will just keep waiting then! Just weird as the only time I've ever missed a period before is when I've been pregnant, so this just feels strange... Can't wait to get back to normal!

Oh yeah, sweetie, I forgot to say - I had the most crippling boob pain for the first 6 weeks!! :)

Lotte I was regular as clockwork before, too - don't worry, it will happen! :)

I waS on cerazette for ages about 18 months and it took ages for my cycle to get back to normal but its one of the best things ive ever taken as after only a month of being on it my periods just stopped. Wayhey and it went on like that till i came off them. My nan didnt think it was normal but the doctor assured me it can happen with pills like that. And if i was ever anxious enough about the lack of periods to do a test every so often. I never did as i was pretty confident taking them.
