I'm ttc again after 2 miscarriages and am wondering what - if anything - I can do to try to make sure that this time it sticks. I've been told I can't have any tests unless I mc for a third time, but I'd rather not have to, thank you, if I can manage to hold on.

If you've ever had a miscarriage or repeated miscarriages and been given advice on what to do/not to do (obvs, advice you don't think is complete bollocks), please pass it on.

All I'm doing at the moment is taking 75mg aspirin and the folic acid. I was told by my gp not to lift anything that needed two hands and by the doc at the hospital not to have any more sex as soon as I fall pg (thanks Mr Notnow, your work here is done. Now eff off and sort yourself out because you ain't getting any here). Not sure I like either of those bits of advice but will try to adhere once I am once more updiffed.

Anything else I can do that will do no harm and might do some good?

I've had 3 that "stuck" and 3 that didn't and didn't do anything different with any of them so I think you just have to concentrate on the most important thing 1st ie conceiving - then fingers (and legs!!) crossed!!! Good Luck!! Although the aspirin thing helped a relative who had miscarried loads of times - she now has a bouncing baby boy! (Think she was eventually diagnosed with Hughes Syndrome or something) x

Hello
Can I ask who said you had to have 3 miscarriages before getting checked out?
I went to GP after 2 and she referred me no problem. Could have been my age, or just a sympathetic GP. I think the reason they say 3 is that it is quite common( doesn't help, I know, sorry) . But I think you should insist on getting checked out.
I wish I had insisted on other tests earlier on. We kept on trying for 2 years and now I'm too old
Still no answers now, but I never met any health professional who told me to do anything different.
