Blood tests on day 21 and day 3 - help

Hi all

I've been referred to have some blood tests for various hormones etc. Dr said I should have the first lot on day 21 or 7 days post ovulation.

However, my cycles are quite long and a bit irregular - last few months were 32, 34, 36 days. So 7 days post ovulation is more likely to be about day 25-29 rather than day 21. When should I get the tests done...?

Also, I'm supposed to have the second lot of tests done during AF, so day 1-5. But I'm probably going to be on holiday then (yeah I know, really badly timed holiday...). So, any idea whether I should get those tests done before AF starts, or just after it's finished?

Answer to the first question is def 7 days post ov.

Not sure about the second.

I think for the Day 3 blood tests you would need to go during AF or just before or just after wouldn't really work,might need to wait until the next cycle? Somebody else better qualified might correct me though :)

Thanks both. I've been using OPKs to try to pinpoint ov day but they're not being very cooperative this month... (and I missed a day so might have missed it ). I'm not sure whether to try to guess when I have ovulated, and go 7 days after that, or wait till a month when the OPKs are clearer ...

PieMistress (another pie!) I guess I'll have to see when AF turns up, if it's all on hols then I'll have to wait another month I guess.
