Hello - after a while of TTC with nothing but a chemical pregnancy I have purchased myself a shiny new CBFM in the hope it will make things a bit less stressful. I was an advocate of just having SWI everyother day but in reality that it quite a lot for me and DH and the poor thing works very long hours so not always possible.

I'm starting this thread for anyone else who's started TTC using the CBFM in the hope we can give eachother a little support etc.....

I'm on day 5 today so think i have to start POAS tomorrow......

Anyone out there who wants to join the journey?!!

Hi iloveberries found your thread!

Hi to everyone else new on the CBFM as well. I ordered mine today after third unsuccessful cycle, it arrives tomorrow so will get going with it either tomorrow or Friday I think. AF arrived today so will it be ok to start using it on day 2 or 3?

Am really hoping this is going to help, have cycles of 38 days so no idea when OV occurs!!

My stats

Maisie55 (32) DS 18mths TTC 3 cycles, cycle 1 of CBFM. AF due 16 Dec

crystaltea36 · 09/11/2011 20:24

Still no peak but I think FF will show I ov'd when I take my temp in morning. We have been DTD every other day in the high so I hope that's enough. It's more than we mornally manage cos my cycles are soooo eratic (31days to 61 days)

My details:
hettyturner (29) DD 18mths TTC 6 cycles, cycle 1 of CBFM AF due anyones guess

OP posts:
Chocchip88 · 10/11/2011 08:50

Maisie55 - yes you can start using it on day 2 or 3, there are instructions on how to do it with the monitor.
Stats
Chocchip88 - DS 12 months. TTC for 3 months 1st month on CBFM. AF due 9/10 Dec - possibly

Chocchip88 · 10/11/2011 08:51

Oh and I'm 32

AuntieDoris · 10/11/2011 09:31

Well maybe - we have been SWI every other day and we did the deed last night. I expect to get another peak tomorrow. So, what do you think? Should we get jiggy with it tonight or stick to our original plan?

MrsHerculePoirot (33), DD aged 23 months, TTC 11 months, cycle 1 of CBFM, AF due 3rd Dec (I think!)

I keep forgetting to switch my monitor on every day! Does it know what day it is if you forget to switch it on one day?!? As I am only on 6 I am hoping it doesn't matter yet... I am going to move it to a prominent place so I remember to turn it on.

Floordrobe · 10/11/2011 18:59

Can I join please, i'm on cd3 of my first cbfm cycle.

This is our 4th cycle TTC number 1 and I have quite long cycles - two 35's and one 37 so far. Its a bit in-congruent with my impatient nature! I use opk's and track bbt so at least I know I'm ovulating. We optimistically started the SWI every day early last cycle and 9 days later when I finally ovulated we were exhausted.

I've tried to make a list in order of expected af but this is my first ever post so it may not work:

Floordrobe (26) TTC#1 3 cycles, 1st cbfm cycle, AF due Dec 12ish

Hello again. I would've been on first cycle of CBFM but mine broke 9 days in! So Amazon have dispatched me a new one and I await AF (about 23 Nov) to start crackin then. I look forward to seeing how you all get on. I've got to say I was kinda pleased when it broke as I've chilled out this month now and just SWI EOD pretty much. I've added my stats.

pupcake · 11/11/2011 22:52

Hi all!

I just started a new Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor Support Group Buddies Volume 7 thread - but now I see you are all over here!

May I join you? I just started using the CBFM this month and liking it so far. I was a little concerned a few days ago as I had not yet hit any high or peak days by CD 14, and I'm expecting to ovulate tomorrow, based on past cycles. So I started googling around about when to expect a "high" and I found myself on the Volume 1 Support Buddies thread, which I read start to finish and I'm still reading past posts - now I'm on Volume 3. I find it so inspiring to read about everyone else's journey and you ladies are such a supportive bunch.

A little about me - I'm 33 (not for long), DH is 42 and we got married in June. DH has 2 kiddos from previous marriage, who are wonderful but we definitely both want a child together. I went off the pill in July and had my first AF after the pill in August. I've been pretty regular, every 28-30 days. This is our 4th month TTC, and my first on the CBFM. I've also been using OPKs (cheap ones) for the past few cycles, and I'm really glad that I'm still using them because I might have otherwise missed my peak this cycle. CBFM gave me my first high on CD 15 and another one today on CD 16. I did an OPK this morning and it looked +, but I wasn't totally sure. I did another this afternoon and it's 100% positive. It'll be interesting to see if I hit a peak tomorrow. Another thing I'm doing this month is temping, because I want to confirm that ovulation is indeed happening. Finally, we are using preseed this month - I feel like I need all the help I can get! We both really like using it. Other things I might add to the mix - baby aspirin and reflexology! Still need to research those.

Here are my stats:

pupcake (33) TTC no.1 TTC 4 cycles, cycle 1 of CBFM AF due 24 Nov

Have a great weekend everyone and I look forward to taking this journey with all of you! Hoping for many BFPs before the New Year!

How is everyone today? Just got my first peak on CD 17 and while I'm SO happy to see that egg pop up, I'm a little concerned I've got a short luteal phase. If I ovulate today, on CD 17, and my average cycle is 29 days, I've got a 12 day LP. Last month it was a 28 day cycle, which means 11 day LP. AND, I've read that the peak detects your LH surge, and you are due to ovulate 12-48 hours later. Meaning I might not ovulate until Monday! Argh - which would mean a 9 day LP. Fingers crossed I "O" today.

How annoying the sticks came before the monitor! Hopefully worth the wait anyway!
Low fertility so far for me, can't wait to see a high! Who is on the 2 week weight now? Hope it's not dragging too much!

iloveberries · 13/11/2011 07:49

I am on the wait! AF due in 8 days.... Not dragging too much and i feel surprisingly relaxed about it all....

Welcome to all the ladies!

I have been lurking on the board to see what you needed to do with the CBFM and whether its worth investing in one but i can't get one as my cycles are too long :(

Anyway after reading all your lovely posts I just wanted to say to pupcake that your LP cannot change, it is a fixed thing - your cycle length, the day you ov etc can all change but if you have a 12 day LP this will always remain the same, so please don't worry :)

Anyway I'm going to un-lurk now and leave you all in peace Grin

Chocchip88 · 13/11/2011 11:17

Ah that's a shame Mooley. You should spend the money you saved by not buying it on something lovely for yourself!

crystaltea36 · 13/11/2011 18:36

Hi looks like everyone's getting on well with their new CBFMs! I'm on the 2ww, only got another 8/9 days left, iloveberries any signs yet? I've got nothing, everything's normal makes me feel I've not been lucky again this month as surely you would be able to tell something by now?! I OV'd on Tues 8th? I wish I was relaxed about the 2ww :-)!
