Hello - after a while of TTC with nothing but a chemical pregnancy I have purchased myself a shiny new CBFM in the hope it will make things a bit less stressful. I was an advocate of just having SWI everyother day but in reality that it quite a lot for me and DH and the poor thing works very long hours so not always possible.

I'm starting this thread for anyone else who's started TTC using the CBFM in the hope we can give eachother a little support etc.....

I'm on day 5 today so think i have to start POAS tomorrow......

Anyone out there who wants to join the journey?!!

maisie - I have had very long cycles this year - my last was 50 days! (mother nature's 2 fingers up to my buying the CBFM ha ha) I had no high the first cycle but fingers crossed for this cycle. They do say it tales the CBFm 1-2 cycles to get "to know" your cycle

So glad I checked in, I was thinking that I was weird for having 20 high days and no peaks. I actually think the monitor missed ov; I have def post ov signs although my temps are all over the place.

Anyway we totally missed it this cycles (DTD EOD for a week then DD got ill and we haven't had a full nights sleep since...) so eagrely awaiting AF (who'd have thought) so we can start again.

MrsHerculePoirot · 20/11/2011 23:14

My cycle usually about 28 days long hence my worry about no highs - glad to hear i'm not the only one and it probably is right!!!

Let's hope that mid-Dec swings by nice and fast - seems like ages away!

POAOS the first time today Grin - here's hoping to some high readings soon. Looking through the thread it seems that people are getting high readings for a lot of the month. The ov calendar on here says to expect ov from this Friday so fingers crossed for some movement on that soon. Oh well if nothing else it might spur me and DP onto being less lazy/tired on the SWI front!

crystaltea36 · 21/11/2011 10:09

AF arrived today so have set CBFM back to day 1, iloveberries are you on day 1 again too? I hope this is our month?!! :-) x

This is the first month I've used my CBF Monitor, will it start asking me to test about day 6?

Oh AF is due 15th Dec
TTC#2 for about 12 months now, used ovlulation sticks up until this month but found them really flakey as they sometimes show i dont' ovulate at all (which might be the problem :) )

crystaltea36 · 21/11/2011 13:33

Updated:
Crystaltea36 (27) TTC no.1 TTC 4 cycles, cycle 2 of CBFM AF due 16th Dec.

pupcake · 21/11/2011 13:55

Hi all,

Just updated my stats, and re-ordered them with those of us nearing testing at the top. iloveberries I wasn't sure if I should update you at CD#1? I left you where you are for now. I guess I'm next up to test! Waiting until Thursday, which is 11 DPO.

Sorry to those of you who got AF - I've heard that the CBFM has really good results in the first three months of use, so keep at it! Also, chocchip, I think you are absolutely right about the CBFM being so successful because it makes us all SWI more!

letting , yes, it should ask you to POAS on day 6. If you are concerned you might not be ovulating, I highly recommend temping/charting as well, so that you can confirm that you are (or aren't). Good luck to you!

Maisie to answer your question, we do SWI on low days if (1) we feel like it, and (2) if I'm seeing other signs that make me think O is near (changes in CM, etc.). This month, our first month on the CBFM, we SWI starting mid cycle (probably CD 8 or something like that) because even though I was "low" I didn't want to miss it. My first high turned up on CD 15, so we'd had about a week of SWI already. We SWI every day during the high/peak period, and we did it twice on my second high day (right before my first peak). From what I've read, unless your man had sperm count issues, more is better, especially on the peak days and the high before the peak, as most women fall pregnant from intercourse during the 2 days before O.

Maisie55 · 22/11/2011 07:35

Morning all, well CD14 and I have my first high reading - woohoo! or as DH likes to call it - the 'bonkometer' has gone off!!

So does anyone know how many high readings you get before you get a peak? I'm wondering if we've been leaving it too late to SWI as the ov calc on here says my fertile period starts o 28th which is not til Monday, or my cycles could be sorting themselves out and not being so long, who knows!!

lettingitallgonow · 22/11/2011 07:35

I'm on day 6, the 'm' has gone on the CBFM and a '6' is there but it hasn't asked me to test, is this right?

Chocchip88 · 22/11/2011 08:26

lettingitallgonow the m gone us right but I think on your first cycle it is supposed to ask for a stick on day 6 - it did on mine. Is it your first cycle? If so I'd ring the helpline.

maisie I'm liking bonkometer! I'm on my 8th day of highs, some people go straight from low to peak so who knows!

1sttimeBlondie · 22/11/2011 19:16

Hi ladies! Well last month I had "2 bars" for the whole cycle and today just jumped from 2 bars to ovulating - I'm in shock Grin and wierdly feel nervous now Grin
my hubby seems to be very excited .... Wink

iloveberries · 22/11/2011 19:18

masie - the bonkometer!! haha!! love that.

I had 8 highs before my first peak, but that was in month one.....

secret - i am on day 2 today too. think i am coming down with something though so hoping it goes within the week so we can get on with some SWI!

HettyTurner · 22/11/2011 21:59

husband and I are adopting bonkometer! Love it.

I had spotting today so hoping AF arrives tomorrow as will confirm my thoughts about ov on CD 19, and will be my shortest cycle yet!

Chocchip88 · 23/11/2011 07:28

My bonkometer is broken Angry I went to switch it on this morning - convinced I'll finally get my peak and nothing. Stupid thing won't even switch on Sad

iloveberries · 23/11/2011 10:18

oh chochip how annoying.... the helpline are very helpful....

CD 3 so no news but just keeping up to date with you all :)

It worked in the end! Not sure what was going on but we're up and running again. Still no peak and with this stinking cold I'm wanting an excuse to stop SWI. Must obey the bonkometer though!

iloveberries · 23/11/2011 14:32

"obey the bonkometer"

followed by thrusting action by way of salute ;)

I love it! Too funny, iloveberries!

I'm on 10 DPO currently, expecting AF sometime this weekend. FX she doesn't show.

Chocchip88 · 23/11/2011 19:35

Good luck pupcake! Are you going to test or just wait and see?
