Feeling very fed up....wasted so money and hope on pregnancy tests...I have to pull myself together...wanted to stab my SIL the other day when she rang me panicking that she might be pregnant and then got a blow by blow account of pregnancy symptoms and how this was unplanned etc etc and got another phone call 2 hours later to tell me she'd got her period... RANT RANT......feeling a bit delicate today you know....

Just wanted to say - big hug and empathy for the rubbishness that is ttc and single pink lines. You aren't alone!

geminigirl I'm sorry. You have my sympathies. Just wanted to offer a hug but also - you can get really cheapo pg tests on ebay - about 10 for 1.99. Sorry I'm useless with links but get a bundle of those instead of the shop ones. That way you won't feel you're wasting money. Good luck.

The money thing is just a bit of trying to cover up the real loss but OMG....I have to get myself some of those!! Do they give you a BFP??????? I'm just a bit hormonal I think, quickest way to get a late period to arrive is to do a pregnancy test...THEN..DH rings for a gossip and tells me about a workmates missus who's over at the Maty OPD having her booking appt.....cue prolonged silence and repeated swallowing before I can tell him about the height of my fertility being my imagination.

Anyway...onwards we go, nice bottle of wine for me then perhaps???

Hey gem how long you been ttc? I've just bought 15 pg tests on amazon for like 2 quid or something. Already used 3!!!!! Keep thinking they must be broken as why don't I see 2 pink lines??!! Even thought I saw the ghost of one earlier- showed dh who laughed and said there was nothing there!!! Appears I'm mad too!

best advice I can give is 'relax and it will happen'. It was when I chilled out (cos I thought I couldn't get pg), that i got pg that month with ds. Wish I could take my own advice though this time round with ttc#2. I'm fanatical about it, and I know my approach isn't going to help matters!!!!

With DS it took us about 11 or 12 months, with DD it took us about half an hour, went back to using condoms till I got my smear test results but the wheels were already turning!! I suppose I just thought things would happen a bit quicker than they have...about 5 months now......

it's just such a random thing isn't it? If someone could tell me that I can have another baby and it would happen at some point I'd just chill out, it's not that I desperately want to be pg this month, but I do desperately want to know that I CAN.

After nearly two years ttc good grief I.only keep cheapies in the house and one cb test. I buy a batch off amazon. They are actually some of the.most sensitive tests you can get.
I don't even test until the day I expect af, too many devastating bfns! if and when I get a positive cheapo I will do about 10 then if I think it is a bfp will finally rip open the cb! Saved me a sodding fortune.
It is tough but like bugs says, you'll get there. Based on your history, you've no reason not to get pregnant again. Hope it happens soon for you!

Another here, been trying 14 months but just about to start tests. AF is actually late but Im very premenstural so no point even obsessing thinking about it. Completely gutted :(

Aw girls...it's crap isn't it? I think it's because the big 4-OH is looming I'm getting twitchy...it seems to be the golden number eh? Buggerlugs...I know you're not being mean and I know 5 months isn't long...gotta get a hold of myself and not worry about the age thing!! Feeling a bit sorry for myself...I realise how lucky I am to have 2 wonderful babies who I love to bits and even it there will be no other siblings for them, they have a family who think the world of them and if it happens I will feel truly blessed. Have given myself a good talking to today....joint Hallowe'en party and double Birthday Party...fantastic day!! Good luck to all who are TTC...hope to hear good news soon xxxxx
