That's really exciting scrambled, can't wait for you to stock up on pee sticks.

Glad to hear your sounding positive generic despite pesky bfn. It is really good that your lp is getting longer, means you're in with a better shot next month.

Cake.... Where are you....?

CakePigeon · 26/10/2011 08:49

Hi all sorry for the late update, BFN from me today Sad I'm 15dpo but I imagine my ov day could be out by 12 hrs or so and I may get AF at lunch time..

generic sorry to hear about your bfn too I was sure this was your month! good news about your lp though

scrambled great news! When are you testing? Grin

TheLittleFriend · 26/10/2011 08:51

Sorry to hear that cake. Have a Brew and I'll get you a Wine later!

CakePigeon · 26/10/2011 08:53

Thanks little I'm consoling myself with chocolate.. At 9am, oh dear! Blush

Biscuitsandtea · 26/10/2011 08:57

Oh sorry to hear that cake

Nowt wrong with chocolate at 9am, no siree!

Stasi · 26/10/2011 09:04

Generic and Cake, sorry to heart about your bfn. However, you could still be in with a chance the tests say they are not accurate till you are late, and if it's not here then you're not late yet, if you see what I mean. Also maybe you just have low pg hormone. You're not out till af comes, and she's very much not welcome!

Scrambled, buying some pee sucks on your lunch break?

On my phone so will post more later.

OP posts:
Stasi · 26/10/2011 09:05

Pee STICKS. I hate my phone autocorrect. Sigh.

PopcornMouse · 26/10/2011 09:09

Ha ha ha imps! Glad it's all falling in to place
John Ramekin Smith. I like it, very continental! :o

Late that's amazing news, congratulations! It's impressive how they can date it within a few days when it's so weensy :)

Oh cake, Generic noooo :(
But maybe is right, Generic ? your LP is looking super good. If ? if! - AF does turn up, then next month WILL be the month

ScrambledSmegs · 26/10/2011 09:14

Oh no Cake Sad. Chocolate is medicinal in these circumstances, nothing wrong with it.

Haha pee sucks! Great typo Stasi!

Right. Can't test till Friday, possibly Saturday. Have a lot on and don't think I'll be able to buy pee sticks before then. Hope y'all can handle the wait .

Grin
farfallarocks · 26/10/2011 09:28

generic 13 dpo is still a little early in my view but regardless, excellent news on the LP, have you been B Viting this cycle?

imps I am veyr sorry to hear about your redundancy, are you lawyer? Keeping all crossed for you and I love your DH's 'egg thing'

I showed DH pictures from the scan this morning of my ovaries, he thought it was hilarious you could actually see 'eggs' and could not stop laughing about it Hmm

late have been thinking about you lots and YAY for reassurance scan, the odds for everything turning out ok once you have seen a heart beat are fantastic I think.

Great news on temps scrambled, any news from cake?

farfallarocks · 26/10/2011 09:29

Sorry cake I missed that, next month will be all our months!!

GenericDietCola · 26/10/2011 09:37

Oh Cake sorry about the BFN for you too. Enjoy your chocolate and let's be cycle buddies again next time and we WILL get our BFPs!

Stasi I love your positivity - you are definitely in the right place with the Rat Smackers. I would prefer to assume AF is coming but if she hasn't turned up by Saturday, I may give the peesticks another go.

Thank you Popcorn too! I love this thread! It keeps me going it does!

Scrambled I will be waiting on Saturday to hear your news!

Farfalla I'm 14 dpo now, so I would have thought that was enough (am I wrong? )

ScrambledSmegs · 26/10/2011 09:39

Goodness far, what did he think was in an ovary then Confused? Jelly babies?!

farfallarocks · 26/10/2011 09:43

Yes indeed scrambled the mind boggles!

generic I dunno, I have heard of people not getting BFPs until 16 or 17dpo.
Definitely test again of no AF on Friday I reckon but YAY for longer LP regardless

PopcornMouse · 26/10/2011 09:50

Countdowntopregnancy.com reckons 15% of pregnant women will still get a BFN 14dpo :o

GenericDietCola · 26/10/2011 09:58

Wow Popcorn! I mustn't get my hopes up though. We'll smack that rat next cycle.

shinyblackgrape · 26/10/2011 10:01

Well - I capitulated this morning and tested with an Early Response test thingy. AF due between Saturday - Monday. BFN.

Sorry to everyone else who had got BFN too.

Smegs - still excited for you though [hgrin]

Things I have learned from this first ttc cycle:

  1. DO NOT google early pregnancy symptoms - madness lies that way
  2. DO NOT google "when to test" - drive self to secondary madness reading about people who got a BFP 2DPO
  3. DO NOT google "percentage of people who get pregnant first cycle" - will drive self to depression at (unscientific) statistics of 99.9% and forum messages (not on mumsnet) of "Everyone but you. Loser!"
  4. Try not to imagine date imaginary baby will be born
  5. Ditto telling friends and family
  6. DO NOT drift on to pram page on John Lewis website when ostensibly purchasing missing bits of wedding china with gift vouchers
  7. DO NOT come off diet and eat madly on the basis that you will be pregnant this month and therefore buying new clothes. So it doesn't matter that you can't fit in to your old ones. You will just end up FAT and still not up the duff.

That is all

GenericDietCola · 26/10/2011 10:12

Aw Shiny BFNs suck, but you could still be in the game this cycle as you're still testing quite early. I like your list of learnings!

BeedleTheBard · 26/10/2011 10:12

shiny here's some more things not to do:

  1. Work out when you'll be having your 12 week scan
  2. work out how pregnant you'll be at Xmas
  3. Work out when you'll be able to start maternity leave

obviously I've never done any of these

possiblemaybebaby · 26/10/2011 10:21

Oh Shiny sorry about the BFN. It isn't over yet, but your list of things you have learn't made me Grin We have all been there and done that (of course, now we are all so wise, we would never consider doing any of those things now Wink )

Cake sorry about the BFN. Chocolate is definitely the way forward

Can I ask you wise ladies a temping question? In an ideal world, what exactly is your temp meant to do? Grin Since my positive OPK, it has gone up every day, then dipped yesterdayand is now going up again

GenericDietCola · 26/10/2011 10:23

Oh crikey Beedle I'm terrible for doing that! If I'd been pregnant this time, I might have had my scan just before Christmas but I certainly did not have any fantasies about announcing it to the family over Christmas lunch, oh no.

scarletfingernail · 26/10/2011 10:29

Only just found you. I thought you'd all been a bit quiet and I've only just seen that the previous thread was full...

Not had time to read but will go back and catch up later.

Just wanted to say to Farfalla I also have a tilted uterus. As has my mum and my nan. It hasn't caused any fertility problems for any of us, I think it's very common so no need to worry about that.

Hello to all newcomers (will catch up with names when I read through later)

Boo to AF Cake, and Generic I still have my fingers crossed for you. It ain't over yet.

All good with me, will be 15 weeks on Friday Smile

Solars · 26/10/2011 10:31

Oh no Cake & Generic so sorry to hear about bfn but just to echo what someone else has said if af still hasn't arrived then you're still both in with a chance

haha Stasi & Beedle I've obviously still not learned from my first cycle Blush

GenericDietCola · 26/10/2011 10:33

Ooh Solars ta for cookies - yum.
