Here we go yet again...

ScrambledSmegs · 25/10/2011 15:19

Cake you're getting a bit ahead of yourself I think! Or at least ahead of me. I would love to be testing soon but am feeling a bit crampy and weepy so AF seems imminent Sad. Still spotting a bit.

Anyway, I'll keep you all posted.

I've hidden AIBU. Too many unkind people looking for a fight recently. Chat is much nicer, I tend to hang around in there.

PopcornMouse · 25/10/2011 15:31

I don't tend to post in AIBU, I do sooo love to rubberneck :o

CakePigeon · 25/10/2011 15:35

Oh scrambled sorry to hear you are feeling weepySad hopefully it is pg hormones. I'm brooking for you.

Thank you for all the brooking Smile I am knicker checking a lot today Blush

popcorn I agree about AIBU I would never have the guts to post!

possiblemaybebaby · 25/10/2011 15:36

Ooooh, away for a few hours, and there is exciting testing news brewing in the camp!!!

possiblemaybebaby · 25/10/2011 15:37

My italics failed spectacularly. But I'm sure Generic still gets the picture Grin

Solars · 25/10/2011 15:44

Grin at Maybe I always get worried about whether mine work or not, but can't be bothered to click on the preview button as someone would have posted something else by then!

Thanks for the explanation, will have to check it out, don't think i'll be posting on it either!

Hope you feel better soon DrMunk

Scrambled I hope Cake is right and it's pg hormones.

DrMunkenstein · 25/10/2011 15:48

No, I never post on AIBU either, but do like a look at it same as popcorn

Sorry you are feeling weepy scrambled hopefully it is those pesky hormones.

farfallarocks · 25/10/2011 15:57

Pops in to Brook like crazy for generic cake and scrambled

cake I hate the knicker checking stage, literally in the loo every 10 mins. Be strong!

solars my CBFM specifically says you can get false readings whilst on clomid (I think it increases LH) so best to SWI a lot just in case!!

GenericDietCola · 25/10/2011 16:08

It is clearly pg hormones Scrambled and I will not hear otherwise!

Cake I hear you re the knicker checking. Care to join me in PIAR tomorrow?

Solars hope the Clomid is going well and thw SWI too.

Farfalla glad you feel a bit better today. Hurrah for this thread - my DH is clueless about any of this - I don't talk to him about my fertile times, late AF etc. If I PIAR tomorrow you lot will be the first to hear of it! He cares of course, but finds the whole early pregnancy thing v stressful so if it is good news, I may keep it to myself (and the rat smackers) for a little bit. Gosh - getting carried away!

DrMunkenstein · 25/10/2011 16:20

Got everything crossed for you generic

CakePigeon · 25/10/2011 16:20

solars it must be the clomid. At least it is really obvious for you when you should be getting in some swi

Ok generic I'll join you if AF hasn't arrived. I had a BFN this morning though so not hugely hopeful!

Solars · 25/10/2011 16:24

Thanks Farfalla I think you're right. I wasn't really having much faith with the opks for that very reason but just wanted to get an idea of what was happening whilst on the clomid as I've also read that you can ovulate between 5 & 9 days after taking the last pill which is early for me on my normal cycle (usually day 17/18) and added to that, clomid can also affect your CM so didn't have that as an indicator either. With the pains I had on sunday I am deducing I must have ovulated then or monday which would be day 14 or 15. We've been doing our best with the SWI...we're taking a break today but may put in a couple of security SWIs over the next couple of days!!

Generic & Cake I am so excited for you! DH knows I read this thread as I tell him various tit bits i've learned from you all, but not sure he's twigged I post too :)

shinyblackgrape · 25/10/2011 16:25

I just have some new, very nice, heart shaped ramekins which we got as a wedding present.

I may break one in by ceremoniously using it for my PIAR on Friday!

However, maybe not as would never be able to use again!

Stasi · 25/10/2011 16:28

What is PIAR? Can't figure it out.

Generic do it do it do it do it do it... what time do you get up in the morning, I'm sure I'll be checking this thread on my phone as soon as I wake up to hear the (obviously good) news. You too Cake and Scrambled, I want to wake up to three BFP tomorrow!

I also don't really talk to my OH. Sometimes I ask him if he wants a bit more information, but generally he's happy just waiting for me to tell him something positive. On the bad days I ask him to pour me a glass of wine, cook me dinner, and watch a movie with me. He always obliges. I just bring him tea in bed at the weekends, which I think is a good arrangement.

OP posts:
PopcornMouse · 25/10/2011 16:28

Lol @ shiny! They would be very appropriate, though!! I have a single heart-shaped ramekin I bought from the RSPCA charity shop for 20p, but I have yet to use it as I have no idea what people actually do with ramekins when they're not peeing in them? :o

Another one whose DH is blissfully ignorant. I think he would freak out if he knew the extent of my baby-itis... that, and his canned response is usually "we just need to shag more, clearly!" Hmm

PopcornMouse · 25/10/2011 16:30

stasi PIAR is Pee In A Ramekin - as a lot of cheapy tests need to be dipped rather than peed on directly :)

Solars · 25/10/2011 16:30

Oooo heart shaped, I think you should save them Shiny and use an ordinary one for PIAR :)

Stasi PIAR is Pee In A Ramekin as opposed to POAS.

ScrambledSmegs · 25/10/2011 16:31

Good lord no, shiny! Get thee to a shop and buy some Gu hot chocolate soufles. You get ramekins and yummy chocolate dessert. What's not to like? Wink

Hmm. Spotting has gone quiet. Will see what happens after the ride home - physical exertion always seems to kickstart it.

Stasi · 25/10/2011 16:31

It was the ramekin bit I couldn't work out... why a ramekin?

I use a cup, easier with the handle. I find it impossible to pee on a stick, get nervous and no pee comes out :)

OP posts:
shinyblackgrape · 25/10/2011 16:35

Popcorn - that's what I thought! what a lovely way for my baby to become known!

Not sure re the ramekins. I have occasionally made creme brulee - veeeeeeeerryy occasionaly! However, I mostly put dips in them or nuts or cut up chorizo and things if I am fobbing DH off without a "proper" meal as he sees it.

Speaking of DH's, you are very lucky that your DH is keeping his nose out. Mine is an annoying combination of being very scientific/medical and thus wanting to read everything to make sure I am doing it correctly combined with a nasty dose or pragmatism. Thus demonstrated:

DrShinyblackgrape - "Now, it's very unlikely to happen this month. If you look at the statistics......for those over the age of 32.........and then 24 hours after you tested positive with the OPK........as I say to patients........bore........"
MrsShinyblackgrape "SHUT UP!"

PopcornMouse · 25/10/2011 16:37

Oooo good point scrambled :d

I have promised DH I will not buy or drink wine while he is at work tonight, as he overindulged at the weekend and suddenly we're on day 3 of a healthy no-drinkie-drinkie bender Hmm I am not happy. I want my wine, taped x-factor and oven-baked pizza, darnit.

PopcornMouse · 25/10/2011 16:41

rotfl @ shiny

DH is a psychiatric nurse, so instead I get "how do you feeeeeel about that? Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Do you think that's perhaps why you've been doing abc lately? Perhaps it would feel more constructive if you did xyz. Shall we see how that goes?"

Solars · 25/10/2011 16:45

Grin at Popcorn & Shiny

farfallarocks · 25/10/2011 16:51

shiny if those are the lovely Le Creseut ramekins you must not PEE on them.

scrambled great news about the spotting, I also find a run or the gym gets AF going.

stasi that sounds like a good set up you have got there.

Stasi · 25/10/2011 16:53

My OH is a computer programmer, so spends his evenings programming his own computer game, or playing other people's computer games. Recently I've been trying to teach him that it's rude to keep typing/playing while I'm talking to him.

He's also a very positive and happy/contented person, so he's sure it'll happen this month, but he's also ok when it didn't happen that month. Tries very hard to keep me feeling positive, and often talks about how much he's looking forward to seeing me with a baby belly, and how sexy he thinks it will be.. It's nice having someone who is so sure it'll happen soon, but it's hard to talk to him about the times I'm feeling depressed and defeated by the whole thing. He just doesn't really understand, but does his best and gives me a cuddle and a box of tissues.
